This research analyzed which source provides more credible information: OL' eWOM or OCR. A sample of 146 university students was randomly divided into three groups (OL, OCR, Control Group) in an online experiment field. A Nonparametric Analysis of Variance (N par Test) with the Omnibus Kruskal-Wallis Test was conducted between groups with OL' eWOM, OCR, and CG. The results evidenced that OCRs are a more useful source of information than OL’ eWOM and when the consumer shopping experience was included, this influence is even stronger. As more online shopping experience a consumer has, the less they are influenced by OLs.","PeriodicalId":45366,"journal":{"name":"Estudios Gerenciales","volume":"37 1","pages":"601-609"},"PeriodicalIF":0.8,"publicationDate":"2021-09-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"48653421","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For this, three different proxies for overconfidence and six different strategic dimensions were used. The relationships were established from a panel composed of data from 244 publicly traded Brazilian non-financial companies, through multiple regressions. Such methodology allowed to identify that the business strategy is related differently to the several aspects that make up the strategy. Overconfident managers tend to promote greater asset immobilization and adopt more leveraged capital structures, in addition, they have greater difficulty to promote inventory turns, that is, to generate their own resources.","PeriodicalId":45366,"journal":{"name":"Estudios Gerenciales","volume":"37 1","pages":"542-555"},"PeriodicalIF":0.8,"publicationDate":"2021-09-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"46641719","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For this, a quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional investigation was carried out, and 275 questionnaires were applied. The partial least squares path modeling was used to test the hypotheses and to estimate path models. The results show that quality service helps to obtain a positive store image, but if only the price-customer satisfaction ratio is observed, the price by itself is significant to customer satisfaction.","PeriodicalId":45366,"journal":{"name":"Estudios Gerenciales","volume":"37 1","pages":"556-565"},"PeriodicalIF":0.8,"publicationDate":"2021-09-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42054406","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The research made use of the data drawn from annual reports of locally generated banks and its subsidiaries. Results from linear regressions indicate a positive relationship between multiple directorship and bank performance, and a negative association between bank outcomes and both gender diversity and board size. According to these results, it is concluded that the legislation on corporate governance for credit institutions in Curacao should incorporate a maximum number of members on the board, as well as promote interlocking directorates and quotas by gender.","PeriodicalId":45366,"journal":{"name":"Estudios Gerenciales","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.8,"publicationDate":"2021-09-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44135430","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Para ello, se realizó una revisión de artículos empíricos publicados en revistas científicas de alto impacto. Los resultados revelan que los rasgos de personalidad, las habilidades emocionales y los motivos del trabajo constituyen las principales características individuales examinadas en la literatura sobre trabajo emocional. Asimismo, indican que estas características individuales asumen un rol fundamental en el trabajo emocional al condicionar las percepciones que los empleados tienen de las reglas emocionales, sus estrategias de regulación emocional y los efectos de los procesos regulatorios sobre la expresión emocional, el bienestar y el desempeño.","PeriodicalId":45366,"journal":{"name":"Estudios Gerenciales","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.8,"publicationDate":"2021-07-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"46476880","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

El método de investigación fue cuantitativo, descriptivo, no experimental y transversal con un modelo de ecuaciones estructurales. Los resultados evidencian que la percepción del apoyo que brinda el supervisor favorece la autonomía, la cohesión y la percepción de apoyo organizacional. Estos hallazgos permiten avanzar en el conocimiento de sus efectos en el sector gubernamental, contexto en el cual esta clase de trabajos son escasos. Se recomienda profundizar en el efecto de la edad en la relación entre la percepción del apoyo que brinda el supervisor y la cohesión, dado que se encontraron diferencias significativas asociadas a ella.","PeriodicalId":45366,"journal":{"name":"Estudios Gerenciales","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.8,"publicationDate":"2021-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"46601064","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Para ello, a partir de una muestra de 302 huéspedes de hoteles en Bogotá, Colombia, se estimó un modelo de ecuaciones estructurales a través de la regresión de mínimos cuadrados parciales. Los resultados obtenidos evidencian que las prácticas sostenibles contribuyen al aumento de la confianza y la satisfacción de los huéspedes, y que estas, a su vez, influyen positivamente en su lealtad hacia el hotel.
