It engages data obtained from various World Bank sources for 15 West African countries that are members of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) for the period 2000–2019. The study calculates inclusive growth using the Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and applies the Two-stage Least Squares (2SLS) to resolve the possible issue of endogeneity. The findings show, among others, that agricultural trade is significant in explaining the level of inclusive growth. It implies that a 1% increase in agricultural trade may increase inclusive growth by 0.88% (first stage) and 0.99% (second stage), respectively. In contrast, FDI is insignificant in explaining inclusive growth. Therefore, the study recommends that effective policies such as flexible trade policies to enhance the exchange of goods and services should be implemented, which is crucial given the need for more resilience in post-COVID-19 ECOWAS.</div></div>","PeriodicalId":45011,"journal":{"name":"Transnational Corporations Review","volume":"14 3","pages":"Pages 244-255"},"PeriodicalIF":1.6,"publicationDate":"2022-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"78086178","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A survey questionnaire has been used for data collection and SmartPLS was used for data analysis. Start-up Techno-preneurs based in Vietnam have responded our questionnaire in August, 2020. The findings suggest a significant positive impact of uncertainties on SSU and availability of SOP positively influence the relationship between them. Availability of entrepreneurial opportunities incite prospective techno-preneurs to undertake a start-up venture despite uncertainty. It demonstrates how uncertainty and start-up opportunity influence the success of start-up ventures. Out study shows that adequately assessing business opportunities in the pre-start-up stage will significantly contribute to advance planning and avoid probable constraints, and ensure start-up success. Entrepreneurs and policymakers may use the outcomes of this study to boost start-ups' strategy and support services for successful implementation.</div></div>","PeriodicalId":45011,"journal":{"name":"Transnational Corporations Review","volume":"14 3","pages":"Pages 312-322"},"PeriodicalIF":1.6,"publicationDate":"2022-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"73743898","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We explored the use of a predictive model, that employs macroeconomic data, and in particular changes in GDP, to predict company profitability and arm’s length profit ranges. The results of our analysis show that there are correlations between changes in GDP and changes in certain P&L items of companies operating in Europe. While the relation might or might not be explained by a causal/inference model (Granger causality), it may have a practical use: to predict changes in the profitability of companies when company data are not available in real time (Shmueli, <span><span>2010</span></span>).</div></div>","PeriodicalId":45011,"journal":{"name":"Transnational Corporations Review","volume":"14 3","pages":"Pages 227-243"},"PeriodicalIF":1.6,"publicationDate":"2022-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"81716815","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Existing literature suggests both positive and negative impact of financial inclusion on financial stability, but this is yet to be empirically validated.
