The unstable DC panel voltage was stabilized using a boost converter circuit. The charge controller output voltage was 12V and the output current was 40A. The study showed that an efficiency of 97 % can be achieved with the improved maximum power point tracking solar charge controller. At a maximum voltage (29V), the highest power output was 200W.
