However, existing DRSs have often failed in securing major infrastructures and citizens' properties and lives. To remedy the limitations of current DRSs, many researchers have been proposed ways to improve disaster response, but do not successfully reduce the human cost of disasters. In this paper, we propose the HyDRS-WoT, an innovative DRS that allows people in a disaster area and the smart Things to organize disaster-responsive communities and cooperate with each other by leveraging Web of Things. Towards this goal, we propose an extension of WoT for dynamic cooperation among Things, called WoT-HyDRS.","PeriodicalId":446280,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 21st International Conference on Information Integration and Web-based Applications & Services","volume":"1442 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116497636","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to cope with such issues that the integration of distributed data often is faced with, we present in this paper an approach that applies distributed data mining, to facilitate a data quality analysis of the data in their distributed state. Data quality problems are identified by a classifier, which uses the knowledge gained from the clustering (subspace clustering) process performed on the distributed data. Experiments on real data show that the distributed analysis results are comparable to those conducted on the central data warehouse using classical data mining.","PeriodicalId":446280,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 21st International Conference on Information Integration and Web-based Applications & Services","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124445352","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We are interested specifically in the improvement of the economic life of the handicraft women from emerging countries. To this end, we introduce a utility based recommender dealing with the procurement opportunities. Actually, we proposed a utility function which takes into account the weighted preferences and expectations of final users. The system is evaluated based on the gain to obtain if the proposed recommendations are adopted in addition to the satisfaction level of the final users.","PeriodicalId":446280,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 21st International Conference on Information Integration and Web-based Applications & Services","volume":"61 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131670514","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

While there exists a considerable number of solutions to store graphs in NoSQL databases, the combined storage of relationally stored data with huge graph structured data within the same relational database system is not well researched. We present a relational approach for storing and querying huge property graphs by combining NoSQL features, provided by nearly any state-of-the-art database system, and an adjacency table approach. Our approach is optimized for read-only queries but also performs well on update queries. Through an empirical evaluation we show that we achieve a 10 times higher throughput than previous works on a graph with up to 650 million edges. This way, we can use all the advantages of full-fledged relational database systems and seamlessly integrate classical relational data with graph-structured data in an efficient way.","PeriodicalId":446280,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 21st International Conference on Information Integration and Web-based Applications & Services","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129030896","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the technical challenges include the limitations on human interventions and sensor-based monitoring, as well as daily recording and externalization of mental states. In this research, we propose Mind Monitoring Service, which aims to monitor mental states and promote self-care of elderly people at home. In the proposed service, an agent asks a user specific questions to acquire his/her mental state. Based on the answers, the service then assesses the mental state and sends feedback. We implement a prototype service, and evaluate the feasibility of the service through a preliminary experiment. The results show that data characterizing mental states of individual subjects was obtained successfully, and that some subjects externalized their minds by feedback from the service.","PeriodicalId":446280,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 21st International Conference on Information Integration and Web-based Applications & Services","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131922415","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, once a recommendation is made, it is unchanged until the travel plan is executed. Some changes occuring before the travel begins may trigger tourist disappointment because the changes may render the plan unexecutable. We propose a solution using a context-aware mechanism. Context-awareness binds some affecting factors to the computation of recommendation, making it sensible and adaptive to any changes. A prototype implementation is also discussed.","PeriodicalId":446280,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 21st International Conference on Information Integration and Web-based Applications & Services","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129666711","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

New cars consist of a vast number of electronic units for managing and controlling the functional safety in a vehicle. In the vehicular industry, safety and security are considered two sides for the same coin. Therefore, improving functional safety in the vehicular industry is essential to protect the vehicle from different attack scenarios. This work introduces an ontology-based model for security verification and validation in the vehicular domain. The model performs a series of logical quires and inference rules to ensure that the security requirements are fulfilled. It endeavors to enhance the current security state of a vehicle by selecting additional security requirements that can handle existence security weaknesses and meet the actual security goal.","PeriodicalId":446280,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 21st International Conference on Information Integration and Web-based Applications & Services","volume":"100 2","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120842237","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A growing number of medical instruments are image-oriented and produce a large quantity of image data, typically in the DICOM format, which contain spatio-temporal features together with alpha-numeric information regarding patients. Dealing with this high-dimensional datasets is a complex and time-consuming task. In addition the diffusion of smartphones and tablets requires the development of technological features enabling the medical team to check on helthcare processes on-the-go and freely access and send image and data for case analysis and collaborative diagnostic. This paper presents SIMPATICO 3D (Sistema Informativo Medico PATologIe COmplesse) a system supporting scientists and physicians by providing facilities for case studies analysis and diagnostic imaging in a shared virtual environment and details the features of SIMPATICO 3D Mobile (standing for Evolution Imaging System 3D for Mobile), that extends SIMPATICO 3D with dedicated functions for the mobile environment.","PeriodicalId":446280,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 21st International Conference on Information Integration and Web-based Applications & Services","volume":"61 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126667549","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper specifically considers water quality data collected using a mobile phone app wielded by citizen-scientists. The citizens use a microbiological water quality test kit to measure E. coli content. The test result is photographed by the citizens and passed on to scientists for interpretation. However, reading the results necessitates a trained scientific eye and is time consuming. This paper therefore puts forward an algorithm that can automatically infer the outcome of the test from a photograph. To this end, we evaluate several image processing and machine learning algorithms for the automatic extraction of results from photographs of microbiological water quality tests. We devise and present a new knowledge and rule-based algorithm and show that it performs satisfactorily.","PeriodicalId":446280,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 21st International Conference on Information Integration and Web-based Applications & Services","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115026475","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
