How to evaluate the flexibility of enterprise production system is a problem urgently to be solved. The paper analyses the factors that influence the flexibility of enterprise production system and establishes evaluation index systems, then brings forward an evaluation model and solves it by using a compositive method. Namely, it uses grey statistics to establish fuzzy evaluation matrix and obtains the weight of every index by grey relative analysis, then evaluates production system flexibility in terms of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method. It gives a beneficial academic reference to promote the flexibility of enterprise production system. Finally, an example is given to show how to use this model to evaluate the flexibility of enterprise production system.","PeriodicalId":445155,"journal":{"name":"2007 IEEE International Conference on Grey Systems and Intelligent Services","volume":"141 4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129166306","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A method for measuring the technology-push effect is put forward. We build an indicator system which reflects the science and technology stock, innovation activities and output of technological innovation. We also obtain comprehensive variables from the indicators with principle component analysis and measurement coefficient with regression analysis. The technology-push effect of Chinese large-and-medium sized enterprises' technological innovation from 1993 to 2005 is measured with this method, and is proved rather weaker than the counterparts in some other countries, which explains why Chinese large-and-medium sized enterprises' technological innovation is generally unsatisfactory.","PeriodicalId":445155,"journal":{"name":"2007 IEEE International Conference on Grey Systems and Intelligent Services","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129192643","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Negotiation is a process between buyers and sellers in a business transaction trying to reach an agreement on one or more issues. The outcome of the negotiation depends on several parameters such as the Agents' strategies and the knowledge one Agent has about the others. It is important that an Agent chooses a proper negotiation strategy based on negotiation factors in order to achieve its maximum utility. In this paper, we first propose a negotiation model according to Agent's four factors: belief, time, competition and opportunity. Based on this model, we then present an adaptive negotiation strategy that a negotiator can use to increase its utility. The strategy adapts itself based on information obtained from the negotiation process. Our experimental results show that buyer Agent and seller Agent can obtain their maximum utilities and the best satisfaction degrees through the adaptive negotiation strategy.","PeriodicalId":445155,"journal":{"name":"2007 IEEE International Conference on Grey Systems and Intelligent Services","volume":"122 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133638393","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The purchase decision here denotes only whether to buy unit linked insurance or not. It is a binary variable and the response variable in this paper. The consumers' characteristics have a strong impact on their purchase decision. The consumers' characteristics include cultural, social, individual and psychological factors. Policyholders' residence area is proxy for cultural factors; policyholders' marital status is proxy for social factors; policyholders' total market value of assets and balance of other investments and savings are proxy for individual factors; policyholders' risk attitude is proxy for psychological factors. They are explanatory variables in this study which are either categorical data or binary data. We intend to test the applicability of grey models to categorical data and binary data, and attempt to figure out the relationship between the above-mentioned variables. Based on results of GM(1,N) and GM(0,N), policyholders' risk attitude is the most important explanatory variable for their purchase decision; policyholders' residence area and their total market value of assets influence their purchase decision indirectly by way of risk attitude; policyholders' marital status might influence their purchase decision indirectly by way of other unknown factors; policyholders' balance of other investments and savings have no significant influence on their purchase decision. Finally we justify the applicability of grey models to categorical and binary data.","PeriodicalId":445155,"journal":{"name":"2007 IEEE International Conference on Grey Systems and Intelligent Services","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116760469","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

According to essentials of interval grey number, definition of deviation degree between two interval grey numbers is given, and an incidence degree coefficient formula and relative incidence degree coefficient formula based on deviation degree for interval grey numbers are constructed by using analytical technique. For the attribute weights unknown, this paper introduces the optical model of minimum deviation method based on deviation between objective preference and subjective for making the attribute weights. The method can sufficiently utilize objective information , and meet decision-maker's subjective requirement, and can be easily performed on computer. An example shows the rationality of grey incidence decision-making and the validity of the algorithms mentioned above.","PeriodicalId":445155,"journal":{"name":"2007 IEEE International Conference on Grey Systems and Intelligent Services","volume":"88 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131414942","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Government procurement management information system is always characterized by hybrid systems, yet a large part of government procurement management information system projects are soft systems, which are often prone to perceptual inconsistencies among designers and users. This often leads to elegant system failure. On the other hand, it also has to match with the ongoing changing patterns of relation or interaction among government organizations, businesses, and users. A combination of hard and soft systems methods would be suitable in addressing problems of evaluating government procurement management information system projects. Upon analyzing the frame and flow of government procurement, the key techniques and steps of implementing the system are proposed in the paper.","PeriodicalId":445155,"journal":{"name":"2007 IEEE International Conference on Grey Systems and Intelligent Services","volume":"108 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128159778","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to solve this problem, grey theory, fuzzy sets and information axiom are combined in this study under the name of grey-fuzzy information axiom for solving product concept evaluation problem for the first time. The information axiom has the capability to solve multi-attribute evaluation problems. Grey and fuzzy set theories are complementary methods for quantification uncertainty. Applicability of the proposed method is demonstrated on the evaluation of dishwasher design concepts. It has been shown that grey-fuzzy information axiom is an appropriate tool to be used for the concept evaluation problem in case of having different types of uncertainties.","PeriodicalId":445155,"journal":{"name":"2007 IEEE International Conference on Grey Systems and Intelligent Services","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134372298","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
