The number of Chinese students enrolling in Finnish higher education institutions has increased dramatically, but few studies have attempted to understand the academic acculturation of Chinese students in Finland, particularly at the doctoral level. Consequently, the aim of this study is to explore how Chinese doctoral students integrate into Finnish learning environment. Data in this study were collected using the case study approach. The findings revealed that although the participants encountered many challenges, they acknowledged that these challenges were temporary and natural. As a result of intercultural learning, they formed a new sense of self and acquired an intercultural learner identity. It is worth noting that although the acculturation process is a two-way change, it might take time for changes in the host university to mature and become apparent.

Although the pandemic is certainly not the\u0000first occurrence of socially disruptive circumstances that drive cybercriminals\u0000to action, relevant academic scholarship has remained scarce. To fill this gap\u0000in literature, and propose the analytical framework of mazephishing that\u0000places particular emphasis on the importance of credible social context in the\u0000functioning of the online scam ecosystem, we carried out a content analysis of (N=563)\u0000international news stories reporting on social engineering attacks. Our results\u0000indicate that criminals make heavy use of social context and impersonation to\u0000make scams seem more credible. Major themes used in the scam messages include\u0000health information, personal protective equipment, cures, financial relief and\u0000donations. Additionally, scammers diversify their use of mediums depending on\u0000the type of scam being perpetrated. Our analysis also shows a significant\u0000presence of principles of persuasion in the circulated scam attempts.

The reason for the Circassian division was a series of refugee waves from the Russian Empire in the mid-nineteenth century. The Turkish Circassian diaspora is the largest outside the homeland accounting for about 2.5 million people. Those Circassians who stayed in the North Caucasus (about 700 000), mostly inhabit four subjects of the Russian Federation. The parts of divided Circassians in Russia and Turkey with their organizations make attempts for consolidation and cultural cooperation through state boundaries, which have legal, cultural, informational and international consequences. While the Russian Circassian organizations are currently showing a more loyal attitude towards the federal center, the mobilization of KAFFED and Turkish Circassians in general is intensifying both in international issues and in the internal political struggle in Turkey.
