Assim, este artigo examina a aplicabilidade das novas tendências de publicações audiovisuais como estratégia para impulsionar o consumo de ciência dentro e fora do ecossistema acadêmico. Baseado em um survey exploratório-descritivo realizado com pesquisadores das áreas de Ciências da Saúde e Ciências Humanas, o estudo contribui para mitigar a carência de evidências empíricas, especificamente, sobre quatro pontos: visão de pesquisadores brasileiros acerca do acesso livre e consumo de ciência no Brasil; desconhecimento sobre videoartigo como formato de comunicação científica; grau de interesse em publicações científicas em formato audiovisual; e sentimentos relacionados à visibilidade e ao reconhecimento da ciência no Brasil. It is inevitable that this pandemic, which has negatively affected many fields, will also have an impact on academic journals. The aim of this study is to determine the effect of the Covid-19 pandemic on the performance of academic journals. In our study, a “Data Envelopment Analysis” methodology with 3 inputs and 3 outputs was used to determine the relative “performance of the journals”. Within the scope of the study, 109 journals published in “Turkey” and scanned in “Web of Science” indexes were examined. Results show that eleven journals were efficient in 2019, while in 2020 this number decreased to seven. Four fields have been positively affected by the pandemic and journals publishing in these fields have increased their efficiencies. Eighteen fields were adversely affected by the pandemic and the efficiency of journal publishing in these fields decreased. Eleven fields and journals publishing in these fields maintained their efficiency both before and during the pandemic. As the Covid-19 pandemic is not over yet, our data is limited. In this context, the papers are represented by the edges, and the authors are represented the nodes, forming a network. At this moment, the following question arises: How does the evolution of the network occur over time? Understanding what factors are essential for creating a new connection to answer this question is necessary. Therefore, the purpose of this article is to foresee connections in co-authorship networks formed by PhDs with curricula registered in Lattes Platform in the areas of Information Sciences and Biology. The following steps are performed: initially the data is extracted and organized. This step is essential for the continuity of the process. Then, co-authorship networks are generated based on articles published together. Subsequently, the attributes to be used are defined and some metrics are calculated. Finally, machine learning algorithms estimate future scientific collaborations in the selected areas. The Lattes Platform has 6.6 million resumes for researchers and represents one of the most relevant and recognized scientific repositories worldwide. As a result, random forest and logistic regression algorithms showed the highest hit rates, and preferential attachment attribute was identified as the most influential in the emergence of new scientific collaborations. The objective of the present study was to use bibliometrics indicators for analysing the scientific production of junior researchers. Focusing on key aspects such as doctoral theses, publications, fields of study, projects, and regions, a descriptive, comparative, and correlational study was carried out. The results showed a total of 821 theses (493 proposed by men and 328, by women). A total of 1936 published works were found, of which 1358 were dated from 2013 to 2018, and 578, from 2008 to 2013 (?: 135%, p = 0.01). The main findings increased the understanding of the state of sports science in Spain. The number of theses and publications has increased, which shows that, in the country, sports sciences have gained momentum during the period examined in the study. Firstly, empirical analysis is carried out by collecting patents data in the industrial robotics field. Then, the IPC co-occurrence network and patentee citation network are plotted by combining patents citation analysis with social network analysis. Next, the technical characteristics and knowledge flow characteristics of an advanced manufacturing innovation network are verified by calculating various indicators of the network. En este contexto, se hace necesario el diseño y desarrollo de aplicaciones que asistan a los bibliotecarios. Teniendo esto en consideración, presentamos en este trabajo la evaluación de herramientas de extracción de información de libros en PDF que podrían usarse posteriormente como materia prima para un sistema de indización automática. Para ello, realizamos una primera evaluación de cinco softwares (PDFMiner.six, PDFAct, PDF-extract, PDFExtract y Grobib) y, posteriormente, como PDFAct consiguió el mejor rendimiento, hicimos una segunda evaluación para averiguar su capacidad para identificar y extraer informaciones de los libros, tales como títulos, índices, secciones, títulos de tablas y gráficos y referencias bibliográficas, informaciones relevantes para cualquier sistema de indización. Existem vários tipos de documentos, cada um com uma finalidade e, dentre eles, as portarias são utilizadas para, entre outras coisas, oficializar atos administrativos que definem competências e estabelecem normas e procedimentos. Para exemplificar, apenas no ano de 2019 o Instituto Federal Fluminense publicou cerca de 2500 portarias e essas, assim como os outros tipos de documentos oficiais, são publicadas em formato de documento de texto simples, sem qualquer tipo de estruturação do conteúdo, o que impossibilita a realização de consultas refinadas baseadas no conteúdo descrito. Para permitir a estruturação do conteúdo, a Web Semântica fornece um conjunto de tecnologias e padrões para representação formal de informações relacionadas a determinado domínio de conhecimento. Essa representação formal é baseada em um modelo chamado ontologia, que permite descrever objetos e propriedades do domínio de conhecimento, além de possibilitar a inferência de novos conhecimentos com base em axiomas pré-estabelecidos. Este artigo apresenta o desenvolvimento e a validação de uma ontologia para descrever as portarias publicadas por instituições federais de ensino, a fim de possibilitar a estruturação do conhecimento contido dentro desses documentos e, consequentemente, permitir o uso dessas informações estruturadas para a realização de pesquisas precisas mais rebuscadas.
