In the survey of literature published in Latin America, texts on a specific personal archive predominate -from which the notion of personal archive is elaborated, as well as its organization, description and preservation-, but experiences in libraries are scarce. The objective of this exploratory-descriptive research is to to know, through a survey, the cohabitation of personal archives in Argentine public and private university libraries, as well as the opinion of their authorities regarding the availability of this type of documents in their institutions. The population of study was made up of libraries belonging to 131 institutions of higher education, and for data collection a questionnaire was developed. With 35 responses obtained, the results show that half of the libraries have this type of material, that most of them have made an instrument of description, that 40% have started their digitization and 17% have archival policies, and that 80% of library managers value positively the reception of personal papers. To this end, a bibliographic investigation was carried out using the Library and Information Science Abstracts (LISA) database. After careful evaluation, sixteen articles were selected, which constituted the basis for the elaboration of a descriptive model for research data management in academic libraries. The results of this showed that the elaboration of the policy and of the research data management plan, the development of technological infrastructure, the processing and analysis of data, the sharing and preservation of data, and the training of researchers and librarians, are the main actions developed by libraries. However, the libraries face challenges such as dealing with disciplinary differences, the lack of financial resources, the awareness of researchers for developing the research data management plan, the creation of data repositories, the definition of standards for data sharing and archiving, and the lack of training for librarians in research data management services. The study is qualitative in its approach and exploratory in its objectives. The population of the research consisted of students enrolled in the Public Policy Discipline of the Library Science graduation course of the Federal University of Goias in the year 2019. The instrument used for data collection was a questionnaire with open questions applied to 25 students. Content analysis technique was used to treat the data. Results show that students understand public policies as actions and political decisions stemming from demands. And the State appears as the one that solves the problems of the Community through actions. Two notions of political participation were identified: one focused on engagement in electoral moments, the political act as the locus of participation; the other one, more conceptual, focused on the subject’s conscious appropriation of the individual’s acts and the way he/she acts in and for the world. El estudio describe un proceso de gestión documental, representado mediante diagramas de flujo, que está dirigido a resolver las principales dificultades a las que se enfrentan los gestores al momento de divulgar colecciones de fonogramas. En cuanto a la situación de los posibles titulares de derechos sobre los fonogramas, se analizan sucesivamente: a) los diferentes tipos de derechos sobre los documentos sonoros; b) la duración de la protección de los derechos de los autores; c) la duración de los derechos conexos; y d) algunos problemas específicos de la gestión de derechos de autor en las instituciones de patrimonio. La investigación está justificada, puesto que la GC ofrece numerosas ventajas en las bibliotecas con el propósito de cambiar drásticamente sus necesidades y capacidades en la provisión de servicios de información. La metodología de la matriz cualitativa y constructivista utilizó el proceso de desarrollo del conocimiento - instrumento constructivista (ProKnow-C) para la selección de literatura, identificación / análisis y formación de un portafolio bibliográfico (PB). El análisis se basa en Vargo y Lusch (2004), con respecto a la GC y sus procesos de intercambio de conocimiento (recursos operativos, dinámicas, competencias, aprendizaje y cocreación de valor). Desde la perspectiva de los servicios de información, resultó en la discusión de recursos operativos (información y conocimiento) y su gestión, el proceso de intercambio (aprendizaje organizacional), las habilidades de los profesionales y el valor caracterizado en este nuevo contexto (cocreación). The review is based on an extensive search through academic literature including the scientific data bases of Scopus and Web of Science. 44 articles published between 1997- 2018 were selected as core study. The results show that the published studies are mostly conducted by specialists in economics, management and engineering, but hardly by library and information science specialists. Interestingly, a large number of the studies were conducted in Taiwan and the United States with a specific focus on performance evaluation of university libraries. Findings of this study identify gaps in terms of the techniques, methods, and processes used for evaluating the performance of libraries. Identifying these gaps however, might help library science researches to pay further attention over Library Science and Information performance library evaluation.
