It is a promising material for power applications and optoelectronics because of its high electrical breakdown voltage and radiation hardness. It is optically transparent for visible light and UVA but UVC-sensitive. One of the main disadvantages of this material is the anomalous slow photoeffect: photoconductivity rise and decay characteristic times can be more than hundreds of seconds long. This \"slow\" photoconductivity effect severely limits the utilisation of the Ga2O3-based devices. The aim of this work is the investigation of the nature of this effect. The results of the photoinduced current rise and decay under 530 nm and 259 nm LED are measured in the HVPE-grown α-Ga2O3-based Schottky diode. Upon UV-illumination the photocurrent rise consists of three parallel processes: fast signal growth, slow growth and very slow decay with characteristic times near 70 ms, 40 s and 300 s respectively. Subsequent 530 nm LED illumination resulted in photoinduced current rise consisting of two mechanisms with characterisatic times 130 ms and 40 s on which a very slow decrease of the photocurrent amplitude with characteristic time of 1500 s was superimposed. 530 nm illumination stimulates this process. Protoinduced current relaxation analysis shows the presence of the deep levels with energies (EC - 0.17 eV). It is suggested that extremely slow relaxations can be associated with potential fluctuations near the Schottky barrier.","PeriodicalId":44136,"journal":{"name":"Lesnoy Zhurnal-Forestry Journal","volume":"18 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2023-07-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"80829255","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The main issue for obtaining high-quality plates is to determine the optimal parameters of machining and is to identify the dependencies of the surface quality of the substrates after cutting on the parameters set in this technological process. Technology for the production of polished semiconductor wafers (substrates) almost all semiconductor materials have a similar and has in its difference only a number of distinctive features related to the mechanical and structural features of individual materials. Mechanical processing is the first stage after crystal growth, in which it is necessary to observe and improve many technological parameters to obtain high-quality finished products. In the technological process of semiconductor processing, it is necessary first of all to divide the crystal into plates with similar surface characteristics. The quality of this separation determines which plates will eventually turn out and how suitable they will be as substrates for the production of devices in mass production. The study of the influence of cutting parameters on the structure of the disturbed layer and the basic geometric parameters of the plates allows us to identify the optimal parameters of mechanical cutting and to identify the range of deviations possible to obtain plates of similar quality for further processing.","PeriodicalId":44136,"journal":{"name":"Lesnoy Zhurnal-Forestry Journal","volume":"22 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2023-07-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"79384205","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The structure of the compounds is characterized by the concentration driven phase transition from the monoclinic structure to the orthorhombic structure at x ≈ 0.2; wherein the ordering dz2 of the orbitals of Mn3+ ions is destroyed, and the inhomogeneous magnetic state is stabilized. Solid solutions with 0.2 ≤ x ≤ 0.4 are characterized by a nonzero piezoelectric response, wherein both ferroelectric and magnetic domain structures exist, the ferroelectric switching voltage decreases with an increase of iron ions concentration, while the residual magnetization value decreases. The maximum value of the piezoresponse signal is observed in the compound BiMn0.7Fe0.3O3. Etching was carried out by exposure to pulses of nanosecond UV laser radiation of subthreshold intensity (wavelength 355 nm, duration ~ 10 ns, energy density ~ 0.5–1.3 J/cm2, pulse repetition rate 100 Hz, divergence 1–2 mrad). Before and after laser heat treatment of the surface, the samples were examined using a Zygo optical profilometer and a scanning electron microscope. Features of the nature of damage to surfaces corresponding to different crystallographic planes of single crystals of industrial dislocation germanium are revealed. They are compared with data on subthreshold damages of typical dislocation-free crystals.It is shown that in dislocation samples of germanium on the {111} plane, it is possible to create a regime of exposure to radiation, leading to the formation of etch pits that are outwardly identical to dislocation pits detected during selective chemical etching. Their concentration corresponds in order of magnitude to the density of dislocations.On the {100} plane of dislocation samples, etching results were also found, which clearly have a crystallographic nature. At an energy density of the acting radiation ≥ 0.4 J/cm2, on the surfaces of dislocation ({100} plane) and dislocation-free germanium ({111}, {100}, {110} planes), only individual spots ~ 50 μm in size were registered, as well as individual microcraters ~ 0.1–1 μm in size, which do not have crystallographic features. The possibility of environmentally friendly detection of dislocations in germanium without the use of chemical reagents is shown.","PeriodicalId":44136,"journal":{"name":"Lesnoy Zhurnal-Forestry Journal","volume":"66 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2023-07-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"75831658","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Copper-zinc ore of pyrite deposits of the Uralian type are refractory. Difficulties in beneficiation are due to their material composition: fine coarseness and emulsion impregnation of ore minerals in each other, a large amount of flotation-active pyrite, a high content of finely dispersed and submicroscopic gold in sulfides, etc. In the course of pyrite ore processing at dressing mills, 83–91% of copper and 10–45% of gold are extracted into copper concentrates, and 46–78% of zinc and 5–15% of gold are extracted into zinc concentrates. Increasing the process performance of pyrite deposit ore processing is a promising and urgent task. Methods of research included copper-zinc pyrite ore material composition study through quantitative chemical analysis, chemical phase analysis for the forms of copper, zinc, gold and silver compounds, and mineralogical analysis. Technological studies were carried out by flotation and gravity methods using a centrifugal concentrator and a concentration table. Conclusions. In the course of pyrite deposit copper-zinc ore beneficiation at the dressing mill, the effect of circulating concentration of gold in the coarse copper concentrate regrinding cycle was established. The results of studies on the centrifugal concentration of gold in a centrifugal concentrator with further secondary cleaning of its heavy fraction on a concentration table show the possibility of obtaining a gravity product with a mass fraction of gold up to 200 g/t under its operational extraction up to 29%. It was noted that the integrated flotation-gravity technology for copper-zinc ore beneficiation will increase the through extraction of gold into marketable mineral products by more than 1.5%. The use of a combination of butyl potassium xanthate and FRIM-2920 reagent-collector in the copper-zinc pyrite ore flotation technology contributes to increased extraction of copper and gold into copper concentrate by 0.87% and 3.22%, respectively, and zinc into zinc concentrate by 0,4%. Increasing the pulp temperature in the zinc flotation cycle to 40–45 °C and returning the control zinc flotation concentrate and tailings from the first cleaning flotation of zinc to the II main zinc flotation allows increasing the mass fraction of zinc in the zinc concentrate from 48.5 to 51.1% under a simultaneous increase in the extraction of zinc into zinc concentrate from 62.6 to 65.6%.","PeriodicalId":44136,"journal":{"name":"Lesnoy Zhurnal-Forestry Journal","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2023-06-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"76616763","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Research relevance is due to the need to ensure the safety of economic activity in the territory of mining. Methods of research. Subsoil use implies taking into account multiple factors that lead to the risk of decisions implementation. Risk is considered as a potential, numerically estimated probability of the unfavorable events (situations), their consequences in the form of accidents, human casualties, losses, damages, material losses, etc. Risk is a quantitative assessment of the hazards characterizing a situation with uncertain outcome and obligatory manifestation of unfavorable consequences. It is advisable to assess the safety status of any mining enterprise site by a number of indicators that characterize the system’s resilience to negative impacts caused by infrastructural, natural, geological, technological, economic and financial factors. The risk situation caused by statistical processes is associated with accompanying conditions: the presence of uncertainty, the need for an alternative choice, and the possibility of accepted options (alternatives) probabilistic evaluation. Negative phenomena in subsoil use are manifested in the form of deformation of pit walls and dumps, collapse of an individual or a group of pit benches, destruction of transport lines and power supply utilities, rockfall, beneficiation process flow deviations from the designed one, violations of man-made features and the ecological and biological environment, which should be interpreted as man-made disasters of an industrial nature. Results. The classification of risks as a multidimensional category is justified by the factors (causes) of occurrence, the driving force of which generates a negative process and determines its characteristics or individual features. Conclusions. The systematization of various risks based on infrastructural, mining-geological, process flow and environmental factors ensures, at the initial stage of risk formation, the determination of their characteristics and the development of a system of management measures to ensure the sustainable functioning of a mining enterprise.","PeriodicalId":44136,"journal":{"name":"Lesnoy Zhurnal-Forestry Journal","volume":"8 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2023-06-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"74412323","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

When choosing the mining sequences of an ore deposit, technological and organizational factors are mostly taken into account. However, when using systems with caving which involve considerable mined-out spaces, the geomechanical factor, which determines stability of mine workings, plays a determining role. The research objective is to reveal the dependence between the stability of the development and face-entry headings within the mined-out space influence zone and the excavation sequence of the isolated ore block under conditions of high stress and low ore and rock mass strength. Methods of research. Numerical modeling of the enclosing ore and rock mass secondary stressstrain state formation was carried out by the finite element method in the Rocscience RS3 program together with the original FEM software package. Modeling was performed for two variants of block excavation – from the center to the flanks and from one flank to the other along the strike. For the analysis, we proposed a coefficient representing the product of compressive stress concentration zones length by their existence duration. Results. Based on the analysis of the maximum stress concentration areas distribution in the marginal rock mass, as well as the time of their influence, the optimal sequence of actual mining was substantiated according to the factor of influence on bottom workings stress-strain state – from flank to flank along the strike. Conclusions. The obtained result confirms the model representations about the mechanism of rock mass stressed redistribution in the process of lens-shaped deposit excavation. The representations suggest that during mined-out space development along the strike, compressive stresses concentrate at its ends. However, the intensity of end sections expansion in the flank to flank variant is two times as high as in the center to flank variant. The duration of the stress concentration zones impact on the bottom workings is therefore less, which is indicated by the proposed coefficient.","PeriodicalId":44136,"journal":{"name":"Lesnoy Zhurnal-Forestry Journal","volume":"29 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2023-06-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"83319827","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The paper considers the development of a frost-resistant emulsion explosive (EE) to create cartridges, including the ones with a small diameter. Research objective is to develop a frost-resistant cap-sensitive EE to create cartridges, including the ones with a small diameter, to increase the reliability, effi ciency, and safety of blasting operations in the northern and Arctic regions. Methods of research are based on EE frost resistance theoretical analysis and laboratory study, as well as ground tests on detonation velocity and completeness in the developed EE. Results. It is shown that EE with an oxidizing phase based on a binary solution of ammonium and calcium nitrate with calcium chloride under a particular water content and with a fuel phase based on the DEP-1 emulsifi er solution in a wide range of petroleum products meets the requirements of frost resistance. The resulting EE in a practically relevant temperature range (–60…+40 °С) represents an elastoplastic body that makes it possible to form durable cartridges that retain geometry. The socket for the detonator capsule is easily made anywhere in the cartridge using aluminum piercel or drill of the wood twist drill type. EE reliably detonates from the detonator capsule of the non-electric detonation system (SINV). The detonation velocity in open cartridges 32 mm in diameter is 4700–5000 m/s. Conclusions. Single-bucket excavators with both flexible and rigid suspension of work equipment are actively engaged in construction, stripping work and production mining. Excavators with rigid suspension are commonly used in construction, while excavators with flexible suspension are used in mining practice. This work considers the process of excavating rock with a single-bucket hydraulic backhoe excavator. The reliability and durability of excavators depend on the correct choice of the parameters of work equipment elements. Research objective is to determine the maximum turning force of the bucket of a hydraulic backhoe excavator, taking into account soil friction against the bucket bottom and side plates during rock excavation. Methods of research. When the maximum force on the bucket turning hydraulic-cylinder rods in the course of rock excavation is analytically defined, it is advisable to consider digging a trench in plain surface or in the open-pit in plain surface of a stope face provided that per one turn the bucket is filled to capacity. In this case, a segment of soil cut from the rock mass has maximum depth of cut as compared to other excavation methods. Total excavation resistance includes: resistance arising from cutting rock with a bucket with maximum depth of cut; resistance associated with the impact of gravity of the rock mass on the bucket; resistance associated with rock mass friction against the bucket bottom; resistance associated with rock mass friction against the inner surfaces of the bucket side plates. Results. The dependence has been determined between the maximum force on the bucket turning hydraulic-cylinder rods and bucket design parameters as well as the physical and mechanical characteristics of the face rock. The results analysis showed that both excavation process flow scheme and rock characteristics have a significant influence on the total bucket excavation resistance. Conclusions. The developed method of calculating the excavation resistance takes into account the internal forces of bucket interaction with rock and makes it possible to increase the accuracy of maximum digging force calculation. It therefore becomes possible to more reasonably approach the choice of the excavator bucket turning hydraulic cylinder parameters and thereby increase the reliability and durability of the machine as a whole.","PeriodicalId":44136,"journal":{"name":"Lesnoy Zhurnal-Forestry Journal","volume":"35 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2023-06-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"89542187","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Obtaining energy is the most important problem of mankind. Coal-fired generation has solved, and will solve this problem in the foreseeable future due to its extensive resource base and relatively stable and low price. At the same time, the efficiency of the generating enterprises depends on the quality of the fuel supplied. For generating enterprises and domestic household using a layered method of burning fuel, it is very important to use high-grade coal, which increases the efficiency of their work. Obtaining high-grade coal, i.e. its separation by size classes is carried out by gravity screens. The advantages of the gravity screens are simple design and the absence of a drive during the sorting operation. Low sorting quality is the disadvantage. Therefore, the creation of new gravity screen designs and the development of existing ones to improve the sorting quality is of great importance. Methods of research. The Siberian Federal University has developed a design of a string stepped screen which uses a gravitational method of sorted material separation by size classes. To introduce it to industry, it is important to know the basic design parameters inherent in the proposed design. The article offers a mathematical model for calculating string stepped screen parameters and presents the results of calculating screen dimensions depending on other changing parameters. Mathematical modeling (construction of a mathematical calculation model) and analysis for string stepped screen design have been carried out to determine its basic parameters. Research results. A string stepped screen design is presented. A mathematical model for basic parameters calculation has been developed. Graphs have been constructed showing the dependence of the changing screen dimensions on other changing values. The string stepped screen design has been analysed. Conclusion. Based on the conducted research, a mathematical model for string stepped screen parameters calculation is constructed. The dependences of length and height on the front wall and screening section angles are constructed. The obtained dependences will allow to determine the string stepped screen parameters for the specified values of the screened material size.","PeriodicalId":44136,"journal":{"name":"Lesnoy Zhurnal-Forestry Journal","volume":"14 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2023-06-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"75282388","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
