The Anthropological-Ethical Foundations of the Educational Model","authors":"Jan Hábl","doi":"10.21062/ujep/327.2019/a/2533-7106/ojppe/2019/3/9","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.21062/ujep/327.2019/a/2533-7106/ojppe/2019/3/9","url":null,"abstract":"The goal of this paper is to consider the phenomenon of inclusion from a philosophical— specifically, anthropological and ethical—perspective. The reason is simple: inclusive education employs terms such as “humanity,” “person,” “every person,” “person with special needs” and so on. It is therefore about people. But it also uses phrases like “an individual has the right,” “everyone has the right,” “no one must be ignored,” “respect for life”, and these are statements of moral character. There is the way that a person is and the way a person should be, and likewise for the schools which form a person — there is the way they are and the way they should be. Advocates of inclusive education naturally wish that schools were inclusive. This desire, however, stands on very definite assumptions about, or a certain philosophical pre-understanding of, human ontology: that is, being (how a human is) and ethics (how a human should be). My argument here is that the moral requirement of educational inclusion comes from a specific anthropological preunderstanding. The paper will demonstrate it in texts written by the famous Czech educationalist J. A. Comenius.","PeriodicalId":440770,"journal":{"name":"Online Journal of Primary and Preschool Education","volume":"12 16","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120822642","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It also focuses on the issue of gender and its manifestations on mathematics' lessons in primary school. Our research examined the manifestations of gender, gender stereotypes, gender-based interactions between teachers and pupils in the application of teaching materials to teaching mathematics at primary school through qualitative methodology. The research tool used is observation. The research was carried out within the grant APVV-015-3787 Optimization of teaching materials from mathematics based on the analysis of current needs and abilities of pupils of younger school age.","PeriodicalId":440770,"journal":{"name":"Online Journal of Primary and Preschool Education","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122211807","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It presents ideas for didactic procedures when working with elementary school pupils in classes of literary education and reading with artistic texts of children's literature. These levels in the PIRLS 2016 reading literacy scale were used to interpret a typical genre of children's literature folk and author's fairy tales. The aim of the article is to describe the possibilities of how to work with the artistic text at individual levels of reading literacy and how to handle literary education and reading at elementary school with the information that the survey brings in specific didactic situations when interpreting appropriately chosen literary texts.","PeriodicalId":440770,"journal":{"name":"Online Journal of Primary and Preschool Education","volume":"98 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-12-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127098871","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

DCD (Developmental Coordination Disorder) is neurological deficiency, what could be negative influence to school maturity of children. This motor skills disorder that affects four to six percent of all school-aged children. The ratio of boys to girls varies from 2:1 to 7:1, depending on the group studied. There are two suitable diagnostic instruments with Czech standard (OTDP a MABC – 2). Motor skills disorders can be one of factor for postponement of school attendance. Although there is currently no cure for DCD, early intervention and treatment may help to reduce the emotional, physical and social consequences that are often associated with this disorder. There is question, if motor skills disorders are connected with, motor development and postponement of school attendance. We have to be sure, if children with motor skills disorders have more often postponement of school attendance than children without disorders.","PeriodicalId":440770,"journal":{"name":"Online Journal of Primary and Preschool Education","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133289124","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
