New services usually take several months to materialize as existing IT systems lack compatibility. If banking IT can catch the tempo of business planning; it is the key to save costs while increasing new revenue and profit from higher customer satisfaction and responsiveness. Currently, many banks implement enterprise application integration (EAI) as a bridge between front end and existing systems. Through using service oriented architecture (SOA) $WebSphere process server (WPS), the development cycles can be reduced from months to weeks","PeriodicalId":439165,"journal":{"name":"2006 IEEE International Conference on e-Business Engineering (ICEBE'06)","volume":"57 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2006-10-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114692366","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The evaluation model, based on BP neural network and principal component analysis, raises the performance of the network. And it guarantees the objectivity and scientific of the evaluation result. This method analyzed a lot of data with principal component analysis method and the main evaluation factors were picked up. Dimensions were declined effectively on condition that evaluation information was reserved. BP neural network was used to fix on the weights of indices. It weakens the random and appraiser's subjectivity when fixing the index weight in evaluation. The complexity, the fragmented nature and the disorder of electronic markets, in concert with the need of customers to use compound products and services in order to achieve their expected outcomes, require the development of an effective integrating mechanism. This article presents the 'value integration model' as a mechanism for the configuration of compound offerings, the integration of disparate value chains and the coordination of business activities in electronic markets. The value integration model allows customers to configure networks of suppliers, intermediaries and other organizations, including public service agencies that dynamically collaborate to produce offerings that bring significant outcomes to customers. The article presents technological aspects of the model and evaluates the potential of Web services technologies to provide the technological infrastructure. The use of the model in the tourism sector is exhibited and discussed","PeriodicalId":439165,"journal":{"name":"2006 IEEE International Conference on e-Business Engineering (ICEBE'06)","volume":"64 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2006-10-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122787521","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

BPM solutions must be able to efficiently process business events, compute business metrics, detect business situations, and provide the real-time visibility of key performance indicators (KPIs) in dynamic environments, wherein sources of dynamicity are plentiful, including new strategies, operations, KPIs, etc. Therefore, BPM solutions need to adapt these changes by dynamic evolution. We propose a policy-driven approach, where evolution policies capture the evolution mechanism of BPM solutions. This frees solution developers from low-level programming concerns. We implemented a hybrid compilation-interpretation framework that enables execution of wide spectrums of evolution policies. Further, our framework enables execution of evolution policies in parallel with on going event processing and guarantees the integrity on both of them","PeriodicalId":439165,"journal":{"name":"2006 IEEE International Conference on e-Business Engineering (ICEBE'06)","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2006-10-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131756514","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The F-Miner algorithm uses two new compact data structures, ascending FP-tree (AFP-Tree) and frequent pattern forest (FP-forest), to represent the conditional databases. When we construct an AFP-tree, the items infrequent 1-itemset are ordered in frequency ascending order. The AFP-Tree structure is traversed in top-down depth-first order. The root of the AFP-Tree is not \"null\", but an item which can identify this tree. AFP-tree has a one-dimensional array which stores the counts of every tree-node's item except root-node. In F-Miner, we need many AFP-trees to store a conditional database; these trees construct one forest, called FP-forest. We test our algorithm versus several other algorithms on real world datasets, such as BMS-POS. The experimental results show that our algorithm is an efficient algorithm on both sparse and dense databases","PeriodicalId":439165,"journal":{"name":"2006 IEEE International Conference on e-Business Engineering (ICEBE'06)","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2006-10-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130180569","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we study bidding behavior on eBay auctions. First, we show that under the assumption of IPV, the truthful and early bidding is approximately optimal. Then, we compare the truthful and early bidding strategy with the late bidding strategy and point out that the optimal bidding strategies rely on the influence of bidders' valuations, i.e., IPV or AV (affiliated valuations). In the following, we analyze the advantages of the truthful and early bidding strategy from different aspects and the influence of auction components on bidding strategies, such as proxy bidding, bid increment, the number of bidders, and stopping rules. Finally, we discuss preliminary their optimal bidding behavior under the assumption of the hybrid valuations of IPV and AV and obtain some conclusions","PeriodicalId":439165,"journal":{"name":"2006 IEEE International Conference on e-Business Engineering (ICEBE'06)","volume":"41 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2006-10-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128621894","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
