Heights rely on depths that are found in embodied experience. This Parallels the Buddha’s recognition of embodiment when he abandoned asceticism. The falsity of the dichotomy is dramatized by Jung’s encounters with the repressed scholar and his hidden daughter, and with the scholar-hermit Ammonius.","PeriodicalId":438627,"journal":{"name":"Red Book, Middle Way: How Jung Parallels the Buddha’s Method for Human Integration","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125568316","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
