Along the way, it will describe the economics of copyright, the \"digital dilemma,\" and controversies surrounding fair use arguments in the digital environment. It illustrates the deadweight losses from restricting digital libraries, book previews, copyright litigation settlements, and dual-use technologies that enable infringement but also fair use. By taking into account the lack of evidence that some forms of copying inflict serious harm, the emerging law of digitization and search engines for books would return contemporary copyright doctrine to a time when it only prohibits acts more likely to result in economic harm, such as competitive piracy.","PeriodicalId":437878,"journal":{"name":"IRPN: Technology Transfer (Topic)","volume":"214 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115508155","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Some of these methods routinely used in practice, at the same time as the other methods are not suitable for a business reality. In this paper, I analyzed the actual methods of valuation techniques used for M&A and tried to systemize these approaches. As it turned out, many theoretical approaches cannot be applied in practice. On the other hand, the rules of the market remain true. By studying the cases of theoretical valuation methods in practice, we can find the most acceptable methods of technology and IP assessment.","PeriodicalId":437878,"journal":{"name":"IRPN: Technology Transfer (Topic)","volume":"99 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-04-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127161996","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We already know that Artificial Immune Systems work well as movie recommenders from previous work by Cayzer and Aickelin 3, 4, 5. Here our aim is to investigate the effect of different affinity measure algorithms for the AIS. Two different affinity measures, Kendalls Tau and Weighted Kappa, are used to calculate the correlation coefficients for the movie recommender. We compare the results with those published previously and show that Weighted Kappa is more suitable than others for movie problems. We also show that AIS are generally robust movie recommenders and that, as long as a suitable affinity measure is chosen, results are good.","PeriodicalId":437878,"journal":{"name":"IRPN: Technology Transfer (Topic)","volume":"91 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2004-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116012723","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
