A sample of 217 frontline employees working in the food sector of southern Punjab, Pakistan responded to the study questions using survey method with structured questionnaires. A Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) tool was utilized for data analysis with bootstrapping and PROCESS macro.FindingsThe findings show that an important mechanism by which ostracism translates into customer service sabotage (CSS) is the increase in perceived stress levels of the employees. Additionally, SE was found to be an important personal resource that acts as a moderator in the said relationship.Practical implicationsEmployees with high SE sense less workplace stress even during a pandemic. Leadership should consider the stress-alleviating effect of SE for lessening the damaging influence of WPO on customers.Originality/valueThe study fills an important empirical gap in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, by showing that due to resource loss perceived by employees while being targeted by ostracism, they may decide to transfer their frustration towards organizational customers by sabotaging their service experience.","PeriodicalId":437730,"journal":{"name":"JOURNAL OF ASIAN BUSINESS AND ECONOMIC STUDIES","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125524477","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, this study examines this relationship, using the 2021 survey data on 437 individual investors in the Vietnamese stock market, from February to July 2021. The results show that perceived stress has a negative effect on perceived performance after controlling for Big Five traits and demographics. In addition, the perceived stress significantly moderates the association between agreeableness, extraversion, and perceived performance. Male investors are less stressed and more satisfied with the achieved returns than female investors. Our findings have implications for policymakers, especially for financial markets where individual investors are the primary participants, in controlling the COVID-19 epidemic more effectively. More interventions to prevent the spread of the disease help investors reduce stress and increase their satisfaction with profits, which motivates them to continue to participate in the financial market and contribute to the development of the economy.","PeriodicalId":437730,"journal":{"name":"JOURNAL OF ASIAN BUSINESS AND ECONOMIC STUDIES","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123937479","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The authors apply a three-stage research method based on a survey data set of 448 buyers who have just bought self-built single-family houses in Ho Chi Minh City's urban area from June 2017 to May 2018. The results of the study found that a surprisingly low listing price not only does not attract and create an auction war among buyers, but it also creates a suspicion signal for the buyer, and as a result, the house becomes harder to sell with a lower transaction price and prolong the listing time. Finally, the Cox Proportional Hazards model results show that the first listing month provides the best performance with the highest probability of sale, but when the listing time is extended, it will also cause buyer suspicion and thus decrease the saleability of the house.","PeriodicalId":437730,"journal":{"name":"JOURNAL OF ASIAN BUSINESS AND ECONOMIC STUDIES","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134334444","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, most of the green practices behavior researchers mainly focus on the general problem while the fundamental factors within the organization that explain green practices behavior have not yet been properly resolved thoroughly in a variety of market perspectives. The study uses a structural equation model to analyze data obtained from 315 employees at high-end hotels/resorts in Vietnam. Results 5/5 hypotheses are supported. Green practices behavior is influenced by: Green organizational trust, green organizational identity and green transformation leadership. Additionally, green organizational identity plays a completely mediating role in the relationship between green transformation leadership and green practices behavior. In particular, the relationship between green transformation leadership and green practice innovation is enhanced by the moderator role of organizational trust. The research data of 128 companies listed on the Ho Chi Minh stock market is collected through Thomson - Reuters DataStream and financial reports published over the years from 2017 to 2019. The results proved that foreign ownership has a negative impact on firm performance through the mediating role of corporate governance. Similarly, business strategy (measured by cost leadership strategy) has a negative impact on the relationship between foreign ownership and firm performance, however, business strategy (measured through product differentiation strategy) is the opposite.
