Most students only follow friends to follow friends to choose a major so that it allows students to feel unsuitable after entering the major. Therefore we need a decision support system that can calculate the value, ability and personality of students to help determine majors in high school. Smart is a multi-criteria decision-making method developed by Edward in 1977. This multi-criteria decision-making technique is based on the theory that each alternative consists of a number of criteria that have values and each criterion has a weight that describes how important it is compared to other criteria. The author uses this method to make it easier to determine the right major, according to the desired criteria. This problem can be classified into problems that are multi-objective (many goals to be achieved) and multi-criteria (many criteria that determine in reaching the decision). Furthermore, to determine the final result of the athlete's recommendation so far, it has also been done by counting manually through several stages and not everyone or the coach understands it, and sometimes there are errors in the process. Fuzzy logic is a set theory that can help in resolving the uncertainty of the boundary between one criterion and another that is generated by a cumulative human assessment of something. This theory can be used to help solve the problem of assessing the physical quality of athletes. One solution that can be done to overcome dependence on experts and the uncertainty of the boundary between one criterion and another is using fuzzy logic which is applied in the form of a visual program that can be used in determining the physical quality of athletes. The appointment of employees who perform well with the support of a decision support system is one of the implementations of the development of information technology. Research that uses the AHP method in this decision support system produces an application for an appointment decision support system that can be used in companies. The criteria used in the decision support system for the appointment of employees are: Quality of work of employees. The results of this study are to produce a ranking order of prospective employees who have good performance who have been selected, and the output of the application can assist decision makers in choosing alternative employee appointments. The application in this research is implemented using the VB programming language. NET 2008 and databases using Mysql. The Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method is a method used in the design of a decision support system. The concept used by the AHP method is to change the value of a qualitative Decision Support System into a quantitative value. So that the decisions taken can be more objective. Basically, DSS is designed to support all stages of decision making, from identifying problems, selecting relevant data, determining the approach used in the decision-making process, to evaluating the selection. AHP is a decision support model developed by Thomas L. Saaty. This decision support model will describe complex multi-factor or multi-criteria problems into a hierarchy, the hierarchy is defined as a representation of a complex problem in a multi-level structure where the first level is the goal, followed by the level of factors, criteria, sub criteria, and so on down to the last level of alternatives. With a hierarchy, a complex problem can be broken down into groups which are then arranged into a hierarchical form so that the problem will appear more structured and systematic.
