We have always preferred Ayurvedic lexicons for detailed knowledge of any medicinal plants or health ailments and different disorders. The Mutrakricchra word comes under the diseases of Mutravaha Strotas. Mutrakricchra – “Dukhen mutra pravritti” means difficulty while micturition or dysuria is the main symptom of Mutrakricchra roga. There are so many medicinal plants and formulations which are used for the treatment of Mutrakricchra roga (urinary tract infection). Gokshura ( Tribulus terrestris Linn.) is one of the important medicinal plants that have been used single or in combined form, effectively used by many Ayurvedic practitioners from very beginning. In this present study, we are making efforts to arrange chronologically ayurvedic literature review of Gokshura ( Tribulus terrestris Linn.) in reference to treat mutrakricchra roga (urinary tract infection). In this comprehensive study, we found that Gokshura ( Tribulus terrestris Linn.) has been defined single or in various pharmacological compound preparations in reference to mutrakricchra roga . The research activities focusing on the effects of art forms on health and well-being has been evidently increasing over the past two decades. Music therapy is a widely accepted and popular form for improving health through arts. Studies have shown that women being more sensitive and sentimental can be influenced more easily by music. Materials and Methods: Review of relevant literature from modern medical science, Ayurvedic classics, text books of Indian Musicology, previous research works, articles published in peer reviewed journals and other genuine sources of internet. Results: Music plays a significant role in improving the health and wellbeing of a female both in preventive and therapeutic aspects. Discussion: Music being the product of Akasha and Vayu Mahabhuta is capable of controlling the bodily Vata Dosha. Ayurveda consider music as a means to tackle Pitta Dosha mainly. Previous research works have shown the effect of Indian classical music on gastric and allied secretions in digestive system where there is a major role for Pitta Dosha. The coordinated activity of Hypothalamo- Pituitary- Ovarian Axis (HPO Axis) is responsible for normal menstrual and reproductive mechanism in females where Vata and Pitta are having the main roles. So music can play an appreciable role in maintaining the normal functions in HPO axis.","PeriodicalId":431628,"journal":{"name":"International Research Journal of Ayurveda & Yoga","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126373877","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Ayurveda incorporates several principles to sustain health and cure disease. The body of a human being is supported by three pillars that are Ahara , Nidra , and Brahmacharya ; these three elements are regarded as the Trayopastabmha of life. Nidra is considered as the second pillar of life next to Ahara . If any of these three pillars is disturbed from its usual healthy state, it produces a number of disorders in the human body. Nidranasha is one among them. Nowadays, Nidranasha is a major lifestyle disorder, since people are not following the codes and conducts of life, such as Dinacharya and Ritucharya , and as a consequence, they are suffering from a variety of issues and psychological disorders. In today’s world, numerous sleep disorders are becoming more common as a result of working at night, transmeridian travel, exposure to various electronic devices, and so on. In contrast with modern science, Ayurveda clearly explains Nidra and Nidranasha , and different treatment principles are used to deal with the Nidranasha condition. Because there is no fruitful management in modern science drugs have also created several complications. This article provides a thorough review of the causes, consequences, and management of Nidranasha from an Ayurvedic perspective. In this study, an attempt of critical review on Nidra and Nidranasha is done.","PeriodicalId":431628,"journal":{"name":"International Research Journal of Ayurveda & Yoga","volume":"70 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126487352","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
