As about 90% of New Zealand's shipments are made by sea, sea transport plays a large role in national distribution of cargo as well as import and export of goods. However, as supply chains between New Zealand and China have become more tighter, the Covid pandemic has caused significant disruption to New Zealand's trade. It has also caused heavier regulation and procedures of import and export, severe lack of internal and external resources and higher volatility of global supply chain. Therefore, this study evaluated comparative operational efficiencies of 11 major ports in New Zealand by using DEA and MPI. Total equity and liabilities were selected as inputs and revenue and gross profit as outputs. It examined the current state of New Zealand ports' performance operations by evaluating port operational efficiency in 2019 and 2020 and performed trend analysis on financial productivity of 11 ports for 9 years from 2012 to 2020. This study aims to enhance competitiveness of New Zealand's logistics industry and to revitalize the main ports.","PeriodicalId":430866,"journal":{"name":"Korean Logistics Research Association","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126828758","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The area is 1,439 ㎢, and the climate is hot and humid and the topography is flat, making it an environment suitable for agricultural and marine product production. Agricultural products, a major item of Vietnam's primary industry, are a major handling item in the Mekong Delta region, including Can Tho City. In order to determine the direction for the development of logistics development in the Mekong Delta region and Can Tho City, field surveys and detailed data surveys, consultations with related organizations such as Can Tho City, and development experiences and opinions of Korean companies that have entered Vietnam were listened to. As a result, building an Agricultural Products Processing Center (APC) was identified as a priority. As a result of the AHP analysis, in the major categories, ‘securing infrastructure’ was rated as 0.642, which was evaluated as overwhelmingly more important than other items. Next, ‘preparation of government support policy’ was 0.188, and ‘establishment of smart logistics operating system’ was 0.170. In the sub-category of securing major category infrastructure, 'transport network connected to logistics center' was evaluated as 0.383, the most important item, followed by 'storage facility' (0.241), 'gathering and delivery facility' (0.233), and 'support facility' (0.143). Subsequently, based on the results of the AHP survey, this study presented the development strategies for the agricultural logistics center in Can Tho City by dividing it into short-term, mid-term, and long-term. In the short term, it was proposed to focus on building logistics center infrastructure and linked transportation infrastructure, and in the mid term, an efficient system operation plan for agricultural logistics center was suggested. In the long term, support policies for companies using agricultural logistics center and the establishment of food industry clusters in the hinterland were proposed. This study presents a strategy for promoting an agricultural logistics center in Can Tho City, the central city of the Mekong Delta region. It is expected that it will be used as a reference material.","PeriodicalId":430866,"journal":{"name":"Korean Logistics Research Association","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115922033","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, it is necessary to study the influence of logistics service quality, user satisfaction and trust on user repurchase intention. In addition, the flexibility of platform logistics services is an important boost to help the platform succeed and meet the needs of different groups, but there is currently a lack of relevant demonstration research. Therefore, based on the theoretical background of logistics service quality in online shopping, this study combines order quality, delivery quality, information quality, customer service and the flexibility of the Coupang shopping platform to construct a research model and establish hypotheses. From January 6 to February 3, 2023, a questionnaire survey was conducted in the form of a Google questionnaire for Coupang users with experience in using and purchasing. At the end of the investigation, a total of 500 questionnaires were received, except for 47 questionnaires with no purchase history and 49 dishonest ones, the remaining 404 questionnaires were statistically analyzed using SPSS, and finally analyzed. The results of this study show that, first of all, in terms of logistics service quality, order quality, delivery quality, customer service, and flexibility have certain positive (+) effects on satisfaction. However, information quality did not affect satisfaction. This means that the quality of information related to orders, transactions, and logistics on the platform cannot meet consumers’ expectations. Second, the quality of logistics services has a positive (+) impact on information products. Third, satisfaction and trust have a positive (+) impact on all users’ repurchase intentions. Many people are likely to become loyal users of the platform. This study reveals a causal relationship between flexibility and satisfaction and trust, with important implications. In this respect, the purpose of this study was to derive policy priorities for improving air quality in the metropolitan ports. As for the method of the study, the CFPR (Consistent Fuzzy Preference Relation) method, which can integrate and analyze the opinions of experts, was used. \u0000As a result of the analysis, in the overall weight ranking, the first, second, and third places were shown to be the strengthening of the ship fuel sulfur content standard, the expansion of eco-friendly ships, and the expansion of support for ship emission reduction devices, respectively. Lee","doi":"10.17825/klr.2023.33.1.19","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.17825/klr.2023.33.1.19","url":null,"abstract":"Previous literature has recognised the importance of port efficiency to port performance, and two popular methodologies of DEA (Data Envelopment Analysis) and SFA (Stochastic Frontier Analysis) have been widely applied to efficiency evaluation. However, there seems a limitation of lacking objectivity when selecting the variables of inputs and outputs. Meanwhile, as for the largest port in Korea, although many related efficiency studies already exist for Busan Port, most of them are founded on a whole port level basis while seldom on the container terminal level. Therefore, to fill the gap, this paper introduces a PCA (Principal Component Analysis) - DEA approach to research the operational efficiency of nine container terminals of Busan Port with the latest data of 2021. The PCA-DEA port (terminal) evaluation approach is practical and unbiased, and it may have some special practical value for the port industry. Container throughput is set as the output, and 13 variables from three scopes of land, facilities and labour are identified as inputs, followed by PCA which eventually detects three indictors of “No. transfer crane (RMGC) in yard”, “Staff average salary” and “Container freight station (CFS) space” as the core inputs representing the above three dimensions. Then, the DEA (CCR) and DEA (BCC) models are used to gain the assessment results: “PNIT, “PNC” and “HJNC” are DEA efficiency, while others of “HPNT”, “BNCT”, “Jaseongdae”, “Shinseondae”, “Gamman” and “Shin Gamman” are non-DEA efficiency. In addition, to achieve the target efficiency for the non-effective terminals, this paper confirms improvements through Return to Scale (ROS) and input redundancy discussion. This study objectively evaluates port terminals and provides useful data when establishing strategies to strengthen port efficiency and competitiveness in the future.","PeriodicalId":430866,"journal":{"name":"Korean Logistics Research Association","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130251511","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
