It has its functions in initial vehicle startup and the working of electric components. Batteries will be automatically charged while running and it supplies power to the accessories. Power optimization and saving of power from wastage in batteries is the major research happening all over the world. It is proposed to monitor the battery usage and to save the battery charge. The cooling fan used for controlling the engine heat consumes power from the battery. The cooling fan will be powered on along with the engine startup and it will run along with the engine. By monitoring the temperature of the engine, the switching of the fan can be controlled according to the defined temperature. If the temperature exceeds the defined temperature, the fan can be switched on by using the battery supply and once the temperature comes below the level, the cooling fan can be switched off. Another extension of the proposed work is the battery theft detection and intimating the user via Global System for Mobile Communication (GSM). The entire operation involves heat and vibration sensors, controllers, engine fans, and batteries. The sensor values are fed to the processor which switches the fan off or on according to the value and the status of the battery is shared with the user.","PeriodicalId":430809,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Communication, Computing and Internet of Things (IC3IoT)","volume":"41 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128350550","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Generally, the forecast of publicly listed stock prices is done with the assistance of machine learning where it takes into account the present as well as the past price data. It is possible to anticipate stock prices using a variety of algorithms, however standard techniques like data mining statistical or non-deep neural networks are not likely suited to the task because of the volatility and unpredictable behavior of publicly listed stock prices. A stock data set of ten years from Yahoo Finance was used to estimate the values using machine learning that applies a variety of algorithms. Predicting the value of publicly traded stocks using machine learning based on SARIMA and XGBoost is the topic of this study. When predicting the stock market, seasonality plays an important part in the SARIMA model, which is similar to an ARIMA model. Open, adjusted end of the day price, day's peak, day's low, and total volume are all taken into account in XGBoost, an implementation of gradient boosted decision trees optimized for speed and performance. As compared to standard forecasting approaches, the suggested SARIMA XGBoost hybrid model shows Accuracy of 89.48%, Mean Absolute Error (MAE) of 15.612 and Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) of 10.52%","PeriodicalId":430809,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Communication, Computing and Internet of Things (IC3IoT)","volume":"106 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133258147","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Gender recognition is so useful in the fields of forensics and sports. In forensics, many criminal cases can be cracked if the gender of the criminal is known. If the gender of the convicted or suspect isn't sure and needs to be confirmed, tests are undertaken. This work aims to identify gender using audio signals. It presents an efficient technique that measures the voice features through which it classifies gender. The spectral features such as power spectral density, spectral centroid, spectral flux, spectral roll-off, and temporal features such as energy, zero-crossing rate, root mean square, maximum amplitude are acquired from the voice signal. Next, the features are scrutinized for statistical consistency using the t-test, and the classification based on the Mel spectral features plot is discussed. The discussion reveals that the best-suited features for spontaneous gender classification are the power spectral density and spectral flux. These two dominant features simplify the process of determining gender without any complex tests and lab setup during initial diagnosis.","PeriodicalId":430809,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Communication, Computing and Internet of Things (IC3IoT)","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129003212","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An IDS must overcome obstacles such as a low detection rate and a high computational load. Insufficient feature selection in IDS can have a negative impact on the accuracy of machine learning methods, resulting in errors in the form of False Negatives (FN) and False Positives (FP), which must be minimised. The research presents an effective feature selection and classification technique for intrusion detection by combining the Hybrid Grey Wolf optimizer Cuckoo Search Optimization (HGWCSO) with the Enhanced Transductive Support Vector Machine (ETSVM). The proposed strategies are capable of selecting the top eight features from a total of 41 features without sacrificing precision or recall.
