The introduction of virtual screening immensely reduces R&D cycle and decreases R&D cost directly. Mass of chemical data used for virtual screening needs to be managed effectively in certain ways. We have developed the first release of ChemDataBase, but it only has the basic functions of chemical database which can not meet requirement of virtual screening fully. This paper investigates and implements the second and improved release of ChemDataBase which is better suitable for virtual screening. Compared with the first release, the second release has several new features. For one thing, it is based on CSGrid and supports accessing of Grid database created in CSGrid. For another thing, it adopts Hibernate framework for data persistence management. In addition, it can invoke data analysis software to analyze the results of virtual screening experiment. Finally, a case study in computational chemistry shows that the second release plays an important role in new drug R&D.","PeriodicalId":429657,"journal":{"name":"2010 Fifth Annual ChinaGrid Conference","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-07-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122071004","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As it becomes more and more popular, security problems of software running in the cloud also become an important issue. The threats, such as destroying system softwares and access violation, are frequently emerging in the field of software cloud. In this paper, we propose a watermark-aware trusted running environment to protect the softwares running in the cloud. We implement the scheme which mainly contains two parts: 1) embedding watermark into the Java programs running in the cloud; 2) generating customized JVMs for recognizing the watermarked programs. Experimental results within a real private software cloud to demonstrate that our approach can provide a large-scale protection with a small overhead.","PeriodicalId":429657,"journal":{"name":"2010 Fifth Annual ChinaGrid Conference","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-07-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130607871","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Based on the idea of “Service Distributed and Management Centralized”, this paper proposes a cloud architecture for psychological health analysis and describes the service component representation, workflow customization and workflow execution. With the excellent semantic representation ability of resource description frame (RDF), a service component metadata representation method is presented. Through querying the metadata of service component, end-users could choose the service components and customize the logic workflow on demand. In the workflow execution, the workflow case database is constructed. Through analyzing the similarity between history case and user workflow, a series of workflow reuse strategies are proposed. To validate the performance of the cloud architecture for psychological health analysis, a set of experiments are prepared to test the viability, the results demonstrate that the cloud architecture has higher precision, reuse and scalability for psychological health analysis of web text.","PeriodicalId":429657,"journal":{"name":"2010 Fifth Annual ChinaGrid Conference","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-07-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126156654","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It has become a very difficult problem that how to schedule the system resource in real time and improve the service performance of resource in a multiple virtual machine system. In order to solve this problem, the authors propose a real-time scheduling mechanism of resource for multiple virtual machine system. In the real-time scheduling mechanism of resource, the authors first describe the architecture of multiple virtual machine system. Then, the authors present a real-time scheduling strategy of resource. In order to justify the feasibility and the availability of this resource scheduling mechanism, a series of experiments have been done. The results show that it is feasible to schedule the system resources for tasks in multiple virtual machine system.","PeriodicalId":429657,"journal":{"name":"2010 Fifth Annual ChinaGrid Conference","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115865669","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A large application is made up of many small tasks. Some statistics indicate that some tasks of 80% software can support parallel execution. The difficulties are how to decompose one application into many tasks and exploit the parallelization among these tasks. In this paper, we compare some types of parallel programs based on multi-core system and GPU. From the experiment results, some advice is given about how to decompose one application into different tasks based on different computing architecture.","PeriodicalId":429657,"journal":{"name":"2010 Fifth Annual ChinaGrid Conference","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133781842","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
