Embark on the coupled mode theory and the phase matching condition of FBG, theoretical model of fiber grating based on axial homogenous strain is discussed in detail. Through establishment of the HS algorithm model and design of the programs, the application of HS algorithm on optimization of the unary function is verified, and the feasibility, accuracy and stability of the method are determined by three important parameters. The corresponding objective function of the reflection spectrum under uniform axial strain is established and the theoretical simulation experiment has been carried on. The simulation experiment indicates that the optimization result of HS algorithm fits the theoretical result well with an error of 0.1%, which verifies the feasibility of the application of HS algorithm in the FBG reflection spectrum optimization.","PeriodicalId":429235,"journal":{"name":"2012 8th IEEE International Symposium on Instrumentation and Control Technology (ISICT) Proceedings","volume":"78 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-07-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126807237","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The relations between the tuning curves and the geometry were exactly analyzed for both incident polarizations. Through two optimization algorithms, the acoustic wave phase propagation angle and the incident facet angle were computed from the tested tuning curves successively. The exit wedge angle was measured similarly by swapping the incident and exit facets. A well fabricated 430 ~ 785 nm AOTF with known designed transducer cut angle 9.5° was chosen for experiment. The actual three angles were successfully measured. To verify this method, another experiment of measuring the non-diffracted light deflection angle was conducted. Its result highly approached the theoretical value calculated by the measured crystal geometry. This method is useful to establish the AOTF ray tracing model for optic design and to evaluate the AOTF performance by comparing with the designed geometry.","PeriodicalId":429235,"journal":{"name":"2012 8th IEEE International Symposium on Instrumentation and Control Technology (ISICT) Proceedings","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-07-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128612948","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

While the numerous manufacturers offers 1451.4 sensors, which are often called TEDS sensors, tools for the development of these sensors are not yet widely available. In this paper the procedure for development of smart sensor fully compliant with the IEEE 1451.4 standard is described. Mixed-mode interface with auto detection of One-wire memory device has been developed by the use of 8-bit microcontroller. For assembling and parsing of IEEE 1451.4 TEDS a PC based TEDS Editor is developed. To illustrate the functionality and efficiency of developed tools an example of 1451.4 Class 2 bridge sensor is implemented. To avoid the disturbance caused by remanence of the spacecraft body, deployable manipulators are designed to support instruments such as magnetometer away from the spacecraft. In this paper, we will develop a kind of deployable manipulator for small spacecraft, which is characterized by small stowed volume, large magnification ratio and repeatedly retractability. Especially, aiming at the primary problems of parameters uncertainties and nonlinear friction at low velocity, an integral back-stepping adaptive control method is proposed to realize the dynamic compensation based on a modified LuGre friction model. Simulation results show that the developed compensation method can greatly reduce these effects to ensure robustness and improve the systemtacking accuracy further.","PeriodicalId":429235,"journal":{"name":"2012 8th IEEE International Symposium on Instrumentation and Control Technology (ISICT) Proceedings","volume":"58 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-07-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132950595","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The maxillary left first molar in the standard gypsum model was prepared for all-ceramic crown. The three-dimensional data of relative objects were acquired by D700 Scanner, which contained prepared tooth, neighbor teeth, antagonist and the intact tooth. Then the 3D data were imported into the RE software. The undercut-detecting surface was constructed based on the interactively-extracted feature margin lines; the quantitative distribution of tooth reduction amount was analyzed by the 3D comparison between the prepared and intact tooth, while the quantitative values of taper and shoulder width were explored in a two-dimensional plane using cloud segmentation and extraction. In this study, the quantitative parameters of tooth preparation (undercut, tooth reduction amount, taper and shoulder width) were obtained by point clouds analysis in the RE software.","PeriodicalId":429235,"journal":{"name":"2012 8th IEEE International Symposium on Instrumentation and Control Technology (ISICT) Proceedings","volume":"237 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-07-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115562280","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
