Early detection is indispensable part to prevent diabetes mellitus patient from foot disorders. vibration perception threshold (VPT) measures can be used to easily and accurately identify presence of DPN. This study was to test the reliability and to evaluate the accuracy of a new vibrometer for detection DPN. A new device (Neovibrometer) was compared with 10g monofilament and tested on a group of DPN and a group of healthy as matched control subjects. Vibration Perception Threshold (VPT) was tested on the plantar surface of the feet. The Neo-vibrometer shows an actual measurement in all test. The Pearson correlation coefficient was 0.94 (P<0.05). The 10g monofilament could also be measured with excellent reliability but only within a limited range of mild to moderate neuropathy, so it appears to be an appropriate screening tool. The measurement-to-measurement intraclass correlation coefficient was 0.93. The new device is accurate and could measure of VPT. It could document loss of sensation in diabetic neuropathy even in the presence of a normal result when it tested by 10g monofilament test. The Neo-vibrometer can be earlier detected of diabetic neuropathy and should be used as the recommended technique in diabetic foot ulcer prevention. This condition can cause patient’s family feel anxious. Communication skill by nurse can help patients and their families to communicate their feelings more effectively. This research aims to reveal The Correlation of Nurses’ Communication with Anxiety Levels of Patients' Families in the ICU. This research used a correlation study with cross sectional approach. The population amounted 34. Samples amounted to 34 respondents. The technique selection of respondents are using accidental sampling. The validity test of therapeutic communication of 15 statements 3 invalid items and the reliability value of 0.709. Bivariate analysis used Somers'D test. Research concluded that most of respondents had perception of nurses’ therapeutic communication are adequate (50%) while some respondents experience mild anxiety (38,2%). The results of the Somers'D test revealed P-value = 0.027. Based on the research concluded that there is a relationship between Nurses’ therapeutic communication with Anxiety Levels of Patients' Families in the ICU. It is recommended that ICU nurse to improve verbal and non-verbal communication skill.","PeriodicalId":428704,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 1st International Conference on Science, Health, Economics, Education and Technology (ICoSHEET 2019)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130306321","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Family support is an important thing in the management of diabetes mellitus. One of the diabetes mellitus prevention program is a program of chronic disease managament (prolanis). The purpose of this study was to know the relationship between family support and activeness of prolanis participants with diabetes mellitus. This study used a correlative quantitative research design conducted in 2019 in Bandung. The samples in this study were 43 respondents. The sampling technique used in this study was total sampling. The data collected involved family support and activeness of participants by using a questionnaire instrument of family support and activeness of participants. Statistical test used Spearman Rank Correlation. The analysis result showed that there is a relationship between family support and activeness of participant level (P ≤ 0.05). It is suggested for government to educate about diabetes mellitus and how to care for it to the family of patients with diabetes melittus. The Post-partum Mobilization was applied gradually based on mother’s power. One effort to be made to accelerate perineum wound healing was to implement post-partum exercise. One movement in postpartum exercise including kegel exercise was useful to help perineum wound healing. In this study, we aimed to Analyze the effectiveness of kegel exercise for the acceleration of perineum wound healing. Methods: The quantitative method with quasi experiment, the sampling technique used in this research was purposive sampling. Results: There is a meaningful correlation (p-value < 0,05) on accelerating of perineum wound healing between the postpartum women who implemented the kegel exercise compared to women who did not do kegel exercise. Conclusion: kegel exercise was recommended to be done for a beginning week of postpartum to help the accelerate perineum wound healing.
