These algorithms however may not perform well with limited number of nodes in a network such as of UAVs. Thus, it is better to design algorithms to increase the efficiency of a small network if scalability is no longer an issue. For such small networks, we design and simulate an effective two layered graph based routing algorithm using store/forward concept. We also take into account UAVs orientation and configuration of radio communication hardware equipped with UAVs. Our routing algorithm provides good average connectivity in the network even while they are mobile. We use a single copy replication to increase the availability of data for distributed query processing. Our system has a network layer and application layer; both of which are integrated to provide better efficiency. We report performance results based on simulations by comparing reach-ability, path efficiency, availability and average connectivity.","PeriodicalId":426543,"journal":{"name":"2011 International Conference on Collaboration Technologies and Systems (CTS)","volume":"113 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-05-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124148558","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Role-Based Collaboration (RBC) is one of the best methodologies to facilitate and manage complex organizational structures through interactions and sociality artifacts. RBC is adopted in a lot of scenarios including Multi Agent Systems (MASs), where agents are playing effectively as human being counterparts. Today's complex systems require a great degree of dynamism and flexibility in order to improve sociality and interaction management of involved entities, and therefore every RBC implementation must face such needs. In this paper we present the WhiteCat framework, a role based agent system that provides an high degree of flexibility and dynamism in role assumption, use and release. Moreover, WhiteCat introduces a few innovative features over the RBC methodology taking inspiration by real life, as for instance the role perceivability, that is the capability of an entity to recognize the role played by a counterpart without having to query a yellow page system or something similar, but simply analyzing the counterpart itself.","PeriodicalId":426543,"journal":{"name":"2011 International Conference on Collaboration Technologies and Systems (CTS)","volume":"135 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-05-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124553763","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We address a wide array of questions concerning two fundamental design problems arising when realizing integrated collaboration solutions, namely semantic inaccessibility and logical disconnectedness. The submitted papers show that semantic technologies tackle these problems, and provide an important collaboration-enabling mechanism for the emerging net-centric systems and the information grid.","PeriodicalId":426543,"journal":{"name":"2011 International Conference on Collaboration Technologies and Systems (CTS)","volume":"221 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-05-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115014615","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This framework is built on the concept of service computing and cloud computing with focus on the openness and accessibility. The set of resources managed in this framework is open; it includes infrastructure services, platform services, and software services. SAVOIR aims to deliver Collaboration as a Service (CaaS). It introduces a generic approach to registering and interacting with distributed resources; it also illustrates a general mechanism in defining and coordinating resources and people into effective collaboration sessions.","PeriodicalId":426543,"journal":{"name":"2011 International Conference on Collaboration Technologies and Systems (CTS)","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-05-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121918787","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Although a transparent service model is convenient, it may be subject to the loss of data integrity. Our study revealed vulnerabilities in some commercial Cloud storage services. We analyzed the repudiation problem in a Cloud environment. In this paper, we propose a new multi-party non-repudiation (MPNR) scheme to fix the issue. Rationale behind the new scheme and a description of its operation are provided. We also discussed its robustness against typical network attacks.","PeriodicalId":426543,"journal":{"name":"2011 International Conference on Collaboration Technologies and Systems (CTS)","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-05-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129325770","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Furthermore, this investigation aims to provide solutions, which makes the use of public transport more attractive using means of universal devices. Also, this article investigates the problems of traffic jams and congested roads in large cities, as they are the cause of stress, loss of personal time and, most significantly, allegedly the biggest contributor to the climate crisis [1]. The main cause is the excessive private car use by people who live in large cities. One of the useful and interesting inventions in the field of public transport is the development of electronic ticketing, which tend to motivate people forgo from private transport. The goal of the electronic ticketing system for public transport is to ease and quicken the process of purchasing tickets, create better information flow about travel and reduce non-paying passengers.","PeriodicalId":426543,"journal":{"name":"2011 International Conference on Collaboration Technologies and Systems (CTS)","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-05-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132433413","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The analysis of these processes is necessary to locate knowledge that need to be capitalized. We follow both bottom-up and top-down approach. The former consists on collecting concrete indicators to guide decision makers and to argue on decisions. These indicators should allow building an initial list of criteria. The latter consists on declining one or several global points of view. This new approach elicits preference of decision makers to identify sensitive process. There are many constraints in the process of role assignment. This paper formally identifies the group role assignment problems with conflicting agent constraints; proposes initial solutions based on previously proposed role assignment algorithms; conducts experiments by randomly creating agent qualifications and constraints; analyzes the solutions' performances based on experimental results, and indicates future research activities. The contribution of this work includes: formally defining a problem of constrained role assignment, proposing an initial solution, and explaining that role assignment becomes very complex when conflict agents are considered.","PeriodicalId":426543,"journal":{"name":"2011 International Conference on Collaboration Technologies and Systems (CTS)","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-05-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122467999","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Collocated meetings can however be impractically expensive, severely limit the concurrency and thus breadth of interaction, and are prone to serious dysfunctions such as polarization and hidden profiles. Social media such as email, blogs, wikis, chat rooms, and web forums provide unprecedented opportunities for interacting on a massive scale, but have yet to realize their potential for helping people deliberate effectively, typically generating poorly-organized, unsystematic and highly redundant contributions of widely varying quality. Large-scale argumentation systems represent a promising approach for addressing these challenges, by virtue of providing a simple systematic structure that radically reduces redundancy and encourages clarity. This paper will address this important question, discussing (1) the strengths and limitations of current deliberation technologies, and (2) how large-scale argumentation can help address these limitations.","PeriodicalId":426543,"journal":{"name":"2011 International Conference on Collaboration Technologies and Systems (CTS)","volume":"453 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-05-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131506992","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We follow knowledge engineering techniques and observe an expert when he analyses a social discussion forum. Then we define a number of models. These models emphasize the process followed by the expert and a number of criteria used in his analysis. Results can be used as guides that help understand annotating discussion forums. We aim at modeling other pragmatics analysis in order to complete the basis of guides including criteria, process, etc. of discussion analysis. We plan to consolidate all of these guides in one support tool for analysis sharing and understanding of the interactions in discussion forums. The way we try to explore is to memorize traces of each analyze and follow the evolution of these traces replicated by another researcher and applied to another corpora.","PeriodicalId":426543,"journal":{"name":"2011 International Conference on Collaboration Technologies and Systems (CTS)","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-05-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128075711","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
