This includes environmental monitoring, volcanic activity monitoring, supporting components in order to provide a smart city, and monitoring activity in the agricultural field. The detection of water level in the river is still not able to work automatically and real-time to determine the water level of the river. This causes the locals generally do not know when the river on the river level grows higher and higher. In this study designed a water level detection sensor-based wireless network that works automatically by reading the height of the water using ultrasonic sensor and then the elevation data is sent to a website so that the public can monitor the height of the river in real time. This system was designed using two main components HC-SR04 and NodeMCU. HC-SR04 periodically transmit data of water level in real time, then NodeMCU upload this to the monitoring platform. The test results show that the design can achieve the collection and stably upload of surrounding environment data, and meet the design requirement of remotely monitoring the living environment conditions. The management of Gapoktan activities is still done manually, therefore an information system is proposed as a substitute. This study aims to build and implement an information management system for activities at the Ngudi Luhur Farmers Group (Gapoktan) in Magelang, Central Java, based on the web. Data collection included group data, group members, and group activities carried out using focus group discussions, observations with interviews directly with farmer groups. The development method used is Rapid Application Development (RAD) method and the software is built by using PHP and MySQL programming languages as the database. The results of the study make Gapoktan management software consists of 3 parts, namely administration, production, and marketing. Web-based activity management application that can be accessed online by farmer groups considering the distance between farmer groups that are very far away. In substituting prescription medicines, the pharmacist must notify patients that medicine substitution contains same active ingredients in equal amounts, same type, and its price is different. The right of medicine substitution belongs to pharmacists as long as the doctor allows the substitution. This method serves to make some similar medicines into a particular data set. This researched used K-means method. In terms of time, this method can be used to reduce the searching time process of medicines required by patients. Selection profile matching method was used to determine the medicine substitute recommendations based on the most ideal medicines selection for patients. The recommended medicine’s substances were exactly the same as the previous medicines listed in the prescription. Evaluation clustering used elbow method with cluster k = 3. To overcome the problem, we conduct a research so that forest fires can be quickly detected. The problem is generally around the forests there is no data communication network available so that disable the delivery of information in the event of a forest fire. Therefore, we designed forest fire detectors that use LoRa mesh network. The detector is able to inform us where the fire location using Google map. Forest fire detector constitute of Arduino Uno, LoRa modules, DHT 11 humidity and temperature sensor and the MQ2 sensor. We put several nodes within a forest. In this case of forest fire alarm, the best LoRa configurations are BW 250 CR 4/5 SF 10. Using these configuration, we can send data to the LoRa gateway which is 500 meters away from the sensor nodes. This happened because generally, sensor data sent from node to gateway has a small size. For example, temperature data sensor which is approximately 4 Bytes while LoRa Gateway can forward data frame sizes up to 1500 Bytes for Ethernet once send or 2304 Bytes for WLAN. We developed and evaluated an LoRa gateway that is able to collect data before it sends the data to the cloud server. Therefore, the LoRa gateway may fully utilize the frame size of 1500 Bytes. The data buffer system that we applied may improve throughput on frame size 1362.5 Bytes with the energy consumption stable in 26.49 mWh. The energy consumption in the frame size of 78.37 Bytes differs slightly from the frame size of 1362.5 Bytes, which is 0.03 mWh. This system may improve energy consumption when the gateway forward data more than 201 KB. Microarray based on gene expression profiling can be used to observing the response of expression genes to pathogens and identify which expressions genes are changed by comparing the expression in infected to that uninfected cells or tissue. Type 2 diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disorder that causes an increase in blood sugar due to decreased insulin secretion by pancreatic beta cells and insulin disorder (insulin resistance). The number of incidences of diabetes mellitus in Indonesia reached 10 million and 53% from the patients do not realized that they are infected and 90% case of diabetes from whole world is type 2 of diabetes. Therefore, in this paper, we identify probable biomarker of type 2 diabetes using microarray based on gene expression data. But the risk of using microarray data is the large dimension of data so have to find a way how to solve that problem to get a good prediction result. In image processing for edge detection process, it is very important section for using image analysis process for the next step. The goal of this study was to detect BISINDO letters edge using color tracing at object boundaries. BISINDO was an abbreviation of Indonesian sign language. There were 26 images of BISINDO letters tested. They represented letters A to Z. There was 3 steps in this study; the first was segmentation process using similarity measurement model based on color similarity and using thresholding technique, the second was morphology process using mathematical morphology with closing operator, and the last step was object boundaries tracing used in outside boundary tracing of an object and whole boundary in the object. The result of this study was the object boundaries detected with blue color whereas holes were detected with red color for 26 BISINDO letters (letter A to Z). Counterfeit documents are often found at the time of examination. Along with the development of artificial intelligence technology, especially in the field of number plate recognition allowing number plate recognition using mobile devices. Using the Android application provides many advantages such as higher recognition accuracy, less resource consumption, and less computational complexity. In this study, the character recognition of vehicle number plates using Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) is one of the deep learning methods. The character recognition process is realized by the segmentation process, which is taking the characters in the number plate. Next is the process of extracting characters with the CNN method. Character extraction results in the form of features. Character features are matched with the pre-prepared character feature database. The purpose of this paper discusses the development of an employee performance target data management system abbreviated as SKP. Software analysis and design methods use Unified Modeling Language modeling for object visualization, with a Model View Controller approach based on an open source Framework. SKP assessment analysis refers to the Indonesian Government Regulation that measures the level of performance achievement based on aspects of quantity, quality, time and cost aspects that compare the realization of the work with the planned target. The results of the study have developed software products for SKP data management systems, built in accordance with the applicable assessment process model. (Process of planned target data and work realization activities).
