As the world is grappling with ecological and economic problems, bamboo is being seen as a resource with the potential to turnaround both economy and ecology of a region. Through bamboo grows abundantly, Mizoram - a northeastern state, is yet to tap the fullest potential of this resource. This paper uses the case study method and explores a bamboo-based industry in Mizoram manufacturing bamboo wood charcoal and vinegar.
