We propose the optimal relay selection scheme to save energy and prolong network lifetime. To avoid decoding error propagation, a decoding set is constructed, which consists of the relays that can successfully decode the source signal through adjusting their power splitting ratios. Due to the insufficient energy or deep fading, some of the relays in decoding set may fail to deliver the source signal to destination. By excluding these relays from the decoding set, we further construct a forwarding set, from which one best relay is then selected to forward the information-bearing signal, while all the unselected relays keep on harvesting energy for future use. The relay selection criterion is the maximal remaining energy of the relays, so as to prolong network lifetime. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed scheme provides longer lifetime as compared to the conventional ones.","PeriodicalId":423073,"journal":{"name":"2018 10th International Conference on Wireless Communications and Signal Processing (WCSP)","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125291587","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the considered system, the sensor nodes are powered by the WPT from power beacon (PB), then the SNs use the harvested energy to transmit data to the base station (BS) with large-scale multiple antennas. An energy efficient resource allocation algorithm that combines time and power allocation is proposed to maximize the energy efficiency of the systems. Simulation results have been given to show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm compared with the throughput maximization algorithm.","PeriodicalId":423073,"journal":{"name":"2018 10th International Conference on Wireless Communications and Signal Processing (WCSP)","volume":"49 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121327259","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the accuracy is deteriorated by the complex indoor propagation environments, which result in variable received signal strength (RSS). In this paper, we propose to utilize an autoencoder to improve the accuracy of indoor localization by preprocessing the noisy RSS. The AutLoc system includes an offline training phase and an online localization phase. In the offline training phase, we train the deep autoencoder to denoise the measured data and then build the RSS fingerprints according to the trained weights. In the online localization phase, we adopt three machine learning algorithms, which are random forest regression, multi-player perceptron classification and multi-player perceptron regression, to estimate the location. Averaging over the results of three algorithms, we then obtain the final estimated location. Simulation results justify superiority of the proposed AutLoc system over previous indoor location schemes in vast scenarios.","PeriodicalId":423073,"journal":{"name":"2018 10th International Conference on Wireless Communications and Signal Processing (WCSP)","volume":"146 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116447230","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Cyclic redundancy check (CRC) based early termination scheme can be used when the information bits are concatenated with the CRC. The CRC is usually checked at the end of an iteration to verify the integrity of information bits. The latency of the CRC calculation results in an unnecessary decoding process. In this paper, we propose a distributed CRC early termination scheme for high throughput QC-LDPC codes. The proposed scheme distributes the CRC calculation in each layer of the iteration to minimize unnecessary computation and increase system throughput.","PeriodicalId":423073,"journal":{"name":"2018 10th International Conference on Wireless Communications and Signal Processing (WCSP)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129552515","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Firstly, we formulate the optimization problem to maximize the minimum rate of all users. The formulated problem contains complicated discrete binary constraints, as well as the highly coupled nonconvex objective function. Then we introduce auxiliary variables and transform the original problem into a more tractable form. Finally, we propose an efficient algorithm to solve the transformed problem based on the penalty dual decomposition (PDD) method. Simulation results demonstrate that our proposed algorithm approaches the optimal performance of the full-duplex fully digital transceiver scheme, and outperforms the competing scheme.11This work was supported by the National Science Foundation of China (NSFC) under Grant 91538103 and the Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities 2018FZA5006.","PeriodicalId":423073,"journal":{"name":"2018 10th International Conference on Wireless Communications and Signal Processing (WCSP)","volume":"150 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133920269","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we jointly optimize caching and recommendation for helpers randomly deployed in cellular networks towards both transmission and content satisfaction. We first introduce a model to reflect the impact of the position of a recommended file in the recommendation list on its request probability. Then, we optimize probabilistic caching policy and personalized recommendation policy to maximize the successful offloading probability under the constraint that the ratings of the recommended files exceed a threshold. We develop an alternating algorithm to find an optimal solution. Simulation and numerical results show evident performance gain over existing relevant policies for both content satisfaction and transmission quality.","PeriodicalId":423073,"journal":{"name":"2018 10th International Conference on Wireless Communications and Signal Processing (WCSP)","volume":"123 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132885004","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proposed face hallucination method can be divided into two parts: clustering and regression. In the clustering part, a dictionary is trained on the whole face image with tiny size, and the training images are clustered based on the Euclidean distance. Thus, the facial structural prior is fully utilized and the accurate result of clustering can be obtained. In the regression part, only one global dictionary in which atoms are taken as the anchors, will be trained in the entire training phase. Therefore, the time complexity can be effectively reduced. More importantly, the learned anchors are shared with all the clusters. For each cluster, the Euclidean distance is used to search the nearest neighbors for each anchor to form the subspace. Moreover, a regression model is learned to map the relationship between low-resolution features and high-resolution samples in every subspace. The core idea of our method is to utilize the same anchors but different samples for clusters to learn the local mapping more accurately, which can reduce training time and improve reconstruction quality. Experimental results show that the proposed method outperforms some state-of-the-art methods.","PeriodicalId":423073,"journal":{"name":"2018 10th International Conference on Wireless Communications and Signal Processing (WCSP)","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132560896","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

By employing hybrid analog-digital precoder at both base station (BS) and satellite, we propose a realistic multicast Satellite-Terrestrial scheme, and study a constrained optimization problem to maximize the achievable secrecy rate (ASR) of the cellular user under the constraints of transmit power, constant modules and the signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) threshold of fixed satellite service. Due to the nonlinear coupling of the analog precoder and digital precoder, the problem is nonconvex and hard to solve. We reduce the optimization problem into a sequence of subproblems, each of which leads to a simple solution, by using the penalty dual decomposition (PDD) framework. Numerical results validate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.","PeriodicalId":423073,"journal":{"name":"2018 10th International Conference on Wireless Communications and Signal Processing (WCSP)","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132709411","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To characterize spatially distributed eavesdroppers, a stochastic geometry approach is considered. We derive the closed-form expressions of secrecy outage probability (SOP) in term of non-cooperative eavesdroppers (NCE) and cooperative eavesdroppers (CE) scenarios, respectively. In addition, some asymptotic analysis of the SOP for the two scenarios has been given. Numerical results demonstrates that the blocking is beneficial for improving the secrecy performance in the capacity threshold-based on-off transmission scheme, and there is no obvious performance difference between NCE and CE scenarios in large blockage density environment. In addition, there exists an optimal transmit power to achieve the security of higher level in the on-off transmission scheme.","PeriodicalId":423073,"journal":{"name":"2018 10th International Conference on Wireless Communications and Signal Processing (WCSP)","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132712220","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
