The effect of public space indicators on the rural district’s life quality in Kuhdasht county, Iran 伊朗库达什特县公共空间指标对农村地区生活质量的影响

We address the following two questions: First, what are the most important criteria and effective indicators in the rural population’s quality life enhancement? Second, is there any significant relationship between the public space indicators and quality life enhancement in the case study area? Six factors, including perceptual vision, buildings skeletons, culture and communities, activities, social interaction, and the environment from local peoples’ perspectives, explained 52.6 percent of the total variable variances. The Friedman test showed a significant difference among criteria of esthetics, semantic-perceptual, and activity-based functional at the alpha level of 0.01. The fitting growth regression model showed that the positive effect of the public space indicators on the rural population’s vitality and dynamism quality enhancement was about 0.723, indicating a significant relationship between them. It also stated a vital role of public space indicators in the rural population’s vitality and dynamism quality enhancement in the study area. The survey was composed of questionnaires and interviews. The data was collected from the 19 biggest public producers of geographical information and 25 organizations that use geographical information. Velázquez","doi":"10.14712/23361980.2015.52","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.14712/23361980.2015.52","url":null,"abstract":"In this work we analyze the relationship among: 1) Certain environmental risks: Flood problems, Earthquakes, Tornadoes and Soil degradation, 2) Demographic dynamics (inter census growth and migratory balances) and 3) Grade of Life Level Quality of Argentinian people. We use a G eographical Information System (GIS ) in which we have done the digitalization of the respective layers of environmental risks. Following, we examine the information on demographic dynamics. At last, we present a synthetic index of the population’s Life Quality, which was elaborated starting from a combination of weighted indicators of environmental and socioeconomic dimensions (education, health and housing). The next step is to study the demographic behaviour and the grade of well-being of Argentina’s people different segments for each one of the environmental risks. We start from an operation of overlapping of different layers (for example: flood risk, growth rate, migration balance, etc). All previous stepladder let us size and compare the obtained Life Quality Index with Demographic Dynamics according to the degree of affectation of each one of the considered physical-environmental events.
