Since spectral information of hyperspectral image cube is more crucial than its spatial information, compression techniques must be able to preserve this information. In this paper a rational fraction function approximation approach is considered for spectral response curve fitting of each pixel of hyperspectral image. Coefficients of numerator and denominator are saved and considered as new features for signal representation. Results show that the proposed method provides good compression rates and the original data can be reconstructed in a good way. In addition, our method is applied to each pixel of hyperspectral individually and parallel implementation of it is possible.","PeriodicalId":417179,"journal":{"name":"7'th International Symposium on Telecommunications (IST'2014)","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124332263","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This is achieved through using the physical layer characteristics to help sender to transfer data reliably with perfect secrecy. Using multiple-antenna relay node can improve the secrecy capacity of such channel. In this paper, we study the cooperative wiretap channel in which secure data transmission is achieved with the help of a MIMO Amplify and Forward (AF) relay. In such network, it is assumed multiple eavesdroppers attempt to listen to the relay transmitted signal and try to decode the source message. We assume the relay makes use of separated transmit/receive beamforming vectors, dubbed rank-one beamforming matrix. The beamforming vectors are computed such that the achievable secrecy rate is maximized, assuming the relay is subject to a maximum transmit power constraint. Accordingly, it is shown that the problem of finding proper receive beamforming vector can be translated into a scalar optimization problem, where using that the transmit beamforming vector can be obtained through solving a Semi-Definite Programming (SDP) problem.","PeriodicalId":417179,"journal":{"name":"7'th International Symposium on Telecommunications (IST'2014)","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126442921","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proposed scheme is implemented and successfully tested on an Android mobile phone. Obtaining desired navigation performance solely based on inertial navigation systems (INS) and utilizing often inaccurate sensors of a phone is not feasible. The methods solely based on WLAN fingerprinting face the problem of inaccuracies resulting from the variant nature of the received signal strengths. The proposed approach fuses INS pattern matching with WLAN indoor positioning within the constraints of a map using a scoring function designed for a desired trade-off of positioning accuracy and complexity.","PeriodicalId":417179,"journal":{"name":"7'th International Symposium on Telecommunications (IST'2014)","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128125635","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Emotion is expressed via facial muscle movements, speech, body and hand gestures, and various biological signals such heart rate. This paper focuses on facial expression to identify two universal human emotions: happiness and sadness. This is carried out by trying to extract facial feature (geometric & texture). We use spatial information for extracting geometric features and texture features by Gabor filter respectively. We classify emotions using Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithms. After classification of emotions we use support vector regression (SVR) for intensity estimation of facial expression. The use of a public database \"cohn-kanade\" is conducted. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed approach is an effective method to recognize emotions through facial expression with an emotion recognition rate more than 95% that demonstrate the efficiency and validity of the method.","PeriodicalId":417179,"journal":{"name":"7'th International Symposium on Telecommunications (IST'2014)","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128156604","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The smoke is generated in an indoor atmospheric chamber under the laboratory controlled conditions. Theoretical simulations are carried out in order to verify that the homogeneity of smoke inside the atmospheric chamber can be improved by increasing the link length. This is achieved by the optical beam being bouncing back and forth between optical mirrors. The improved homogeneity in smoke enhances the accuracy in evaluating the visibility V to characterize smoke and thus the resultant attenuation of smoke. The experimental results for attenuation of FSO communication systems operating at the visible and near infrared (NIR) wavelengths (0.6 μm <; λ <; 1.6 μm) in the controlled laboratory based smoke environment are also presented and compared to the theoretical smoke model. Results indicate that smoke attenuation is wavelength dependent for dense smoke conditions for V <; 0.5 km. Smoke attenuation is higher at the visible wavelength than the near infrared wavelength. The measured attenuation of smoke is almost 90 dB/km for the visible range and 43 dB/km at the NIR wavelength range for V = 0.185 km.","PeriodicalId":417179,"journal":{"name":"7'th International Symposium on Telecommunications (IST'2014)","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131982904","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, their performance in speaker variabilities lags behind that of human recognition system. In order to solve this problem, speaker adaptation methods have proposed. These methods adapt either the acoustic model parameters or the input features of the speech recognition systems to improve their performance. In this article, two speaker adaptation methods for deep neural network based speech recognition systems are proposed. In the first method, feature vectors of each speaker are adapted nonlinearly after some forward-backward iterations. In the other one, the speech recognition system is modified in order to be able to adapt dynamically in speaker variabilities. This method, unlike other model adaptation methods, does not need to any adaptation data and adapts the model online. Experiments on FARSDAT dataset demonstrate that these methods improve phone recognition accuracy rate by 2% and 6%.","PeriodicalId":417179,"journal":{"name":"7'th International Symposium on Telecommunications (IST'2014)","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132144113","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Filtering undesirable URLs, Finding quotes from famous holy books texts, extracting specific patterns from DNA sequences, Antivirus scanning, intrusion detection or even music retrieval are some applications of multi-pattern string matching. As the size of corpora and the number of patterns increase, the necessity for finding efficiently multiple patterns also increases. In this paper, a new approach for multiple pattern string matching is introduced. The proposed approach employs filtering useless parts of the text and indexing techniques based on finite state machines in order to achieve better performance. The proposed approach beside its efficiency has the advantage of being scalable and accurate even in noisy text corpora.
