This simplification leads to less complicated control design. In this paper we analyse a minimal realization biomechanical model of reflexive movement of human finger when the little finger is bent. This is a 6th order minimal state space realization model for movement simulation of two fingers. We developed and compared different results of an H∞ optimal controller to achieve a stable response. Exogenous inputs in terms of parametric uncertainties were added to the model. We manipulated the values to get a better controller. Furthermore, we minimized the effects of the disturbances and the impact of the measurement noise and modeling errors by tuning the controller for optimum performance. We simulated the model in MATLAB/Simulink for study of stability analysis and performance comparison. Our simulation results demonstrate the applicability of the model towards active prosthetic, and help to understand central nervous system in physiologically coordinated movement and constraint on motor.","PeriodicalId":416187,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Electrical Engineering (ICEE)","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125092952","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Every node in the network acts as the peer to its immediate neighbor. Each node is thus responsible for relaying data to neighboring nodes for ensuring communication between distant nodes. This information dissemination mechanism pattern consumes extra node energy thus making energy a critical parameter for ensuring increased network lifetime. This paper proposes a new energy and mobility aware routing protocol referred to as Mobility and Energy Aware AODV (MEAODV) protocol. The proposed protocol has shown through simulations to achieve 4–5% increase in Packet Delivery Ratio, 20–24% reduction in Convergence time and 10 to 15% increase in Network Lifetime when compared to most promising stability based variants of AODV, PersonalizedAODV (RAODV) and MulticastAODV (MAODV-X).","PeriodicalId":416187,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Electrical Engineering (ICEE)","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115988268","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, when faults occur on power grid, the machine shows sensitivity. To sustain stability of system, high value of DC-link voltage is needed during unbalanced operation of grid. This paper proposed a novel control strategy for the Grid Side Converter (GSC) of DFIG-based Wind Turbine (WT). According to the new grid codes the WT must be connected to grid during occurrences of faults. In this research work the Gauss-Newton (GN) algorithm is deployed for Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC) and the system is enabled to control the different parameters (DC-link voltage, active and reactive power) during system disturbances. GN algorithm is an optimization technique for FLC replacing traditional Proportional-Integral (PI) controller. Whenever voltage swells occur on grid, the behavior of system becomes non-linear and the FLC based on GN algorithm is better observed technique. The theoretical modeling is carried out to understand FLC & GN algorithm in Matlab/Simulink. Furthermore, the simulation results demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed controller.","PeriodicalId":416187,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Electrical Engineering (ICEE)","volume":"97 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116210697","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Among various technologies, wind turbine generators and photovoltaic systems are most commonly used for distributed generation (DG) applications. In this research paper, the impacts of wind turbine generator on voltage profile and power losses of the local distribution network are studied based on the two different operational modes of the wind turbine. From simulation results it can be clearly seen that there is better improvement in voltage profile and reduction in power losses when wind turbine generator is operated in the voltage control mode. The whole setup is simulated and implemented in ETAP software.","PeriodicalId":416187,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Electrical Engineering (ICEE)","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132015592","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
