Hal ini boleh direalisasikan melalui pembentukan dasar pengajaran dan pembelajaran pengajian Islam yang betul. Pendekatan Narrow Reading (NR) adalah salah satu teknik pemilihan teks bacaan ekstensif yang bertujuan meningkatkan kecekapan membaca berdasarkan topik atau bidang tertentu. Kajian ini bertujuan menilai keberkesanan teknik NR dalam meningkatkan kefahaman membaca teks Islamik oleh pelajar pengajian Islam. Seramai 47 pelajar fakulti pengajian Islam telah dipilih sebagai sampel. Reka bentuk kajian eksperimental digunakan dengan melaksanakan intervensi kepada sampel kajian. Hasil kajian diperolehi menerusi analisis Paired t-test dan eta squared. Dapatan menunjukkan perbezaan yang signifikan dalam kefahaman teks Islamik setelah intervensi NR diterapkan dan saiz kesan intervensi juga besar. Dapatan diperkukuhkan dengan analisis linguistik teks bacaan yang digunakan. {"title":"A Ḥadīth Collection over the Generations: The Transmission of Ṣaḥīḥ Ibn Ḥibbān","authors":"Muhammad Fawwaz Muhammad Yusoff","doi":"10.17576/islamiyyat-2020-4202-02","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.17576/islamiyyat-2020-4202-02","url":null,"abstract":"The study of ḥadīth scholarship, even if concentrating ḥadīth corpus, or even extracting the transmission of ḥadīth collections, has faced growing criticism. Many scholars of ḥadīth have no lack of confidence about the preservation of ḥadīth collections, while others have thoughtfully been sceptical. The discussion of the “authenticity” of authorship of ḥadīth collections, Arabic literature furnishes with a chain of transmitters for texts made about the past. Alongside both famous Ṣaḥīḥayn of al-Bukhārī and Muslim, Ibn Ḥibbān al-Bustī (d. 354/965) - a scholar from Lashkar Gah, Afghanistan - compiled at least one gigantic ḥadīth collection usually regarded as the last collection of this ‘Ṣaḥīḥ movement’. Among the eighty-plus works that Ibn Ḥibbān’s biographers say he wrote is his famous ḥadīth collection named “al-Musnad al-Ṣaḥīḥ ʿalā al-Taqāsim wa al-Anwāʿ min ghayr wujūd qaṭʿ fī sanadihā walā thubūt jarḥ fī nāqilīhā.” The Ṣaḥīḥ, like the many existing ḥadīth compilations, was handed down to succeeding generations by chains of authority. What follows is an explanatory study of the transmission of Ṣaḥīḥ Ibn Ḥibbān in post-hadith compilation literatures to which his fame is principally due. A library-based research which focuses on descriptive analytical method is used in this study. This study also aims to examine some conceptual grounds for the exploration by looking into the literary dimension of hadith literatures. Explaining the transmission of Ibn Ḥibbān’s Ṣaḥīḥ is demanding despite his noble status which is required in recognizing that the early and canonical ḥadīth collection was very limited in dissemination. In particular of the Sufi tradition, the Ishrāqἱ (illumination) school serves as a major School of thought in the Islamic intellectual history with the knowledge of the Muhammadan Light (Nūr Muhammad) becoming the most prominent cosmological point of debate among of Muslim scholars. To date, discussions and reviews on the understanding of the Muhammadan Light from the perspective of theology, literature, philosophy and the cosmological view in comparison to modern cosmology are still lacking. In modern cosmology, the Big Bang theory which is directly related to the light cosmology has been significantly discussed. The present study provides additional evidence with respect to the cosmological perspective highlighting the importance of light cosmology aspects with the insights of combining both cosmological postulates by evidence of direct connection with current modern and Sufi cosmology (worldviews). They use scientific, philosophical, historical and moral arguments mainly to prove the non-existence of God. They portray religion as illogical and irrational. Moreover, they argue that religions provide poor guidance on moralities. New atheists suggest that science should replace the religion in order to define what is moral or immoral. On contrary, Muslim scholars defend and argue that religion is main factor behind good moral values. The study focus on the moral dimension of new atheists’ argumentation and the Muslim scholarly response. For this purpose, arguments of four founding fathers of new atheists and four renowned Muslim scholars are comparatively analyzed. New atheists attempt to develop science based moralities and eliminate the role of religion from all important areas of life. Muslim scholars illustrate that position of atheism is illogical and irrational. Moralities are impossible without God and these are outside of scientific domain. This study intends to explore the legal discourse and narratives of Muslim converts on the legal implications of their conversion to Islam, particularly in the cases of dissolution of civil marriage. To obtain the narratives of Muslim converts whom experienced this issue, this study employed in-depth semi-structured interviews with 9 participants (7 Indians, 1 Chinese, and 1 Bumiputera) whom are high-profile Muslim converts in urban Malaysia. This research has found that some participants in this study shared their narratives on how Malaysian law, both civil and Islamic law, has significant implications that affects converts’ marital lives and family dynamics. This study can become the foundation for an urgent call to revise the relevant laws, especially relating to the definition of People of the Book (Kitabiyyah), the period allocated for the non-Muslim spouse to convert to Islam, and the abolition of legal process of civil marriage dissolution in Shariah court. In Islam, entrepreneurship is meant not only for fulfilling on material individuals needs, society and the country, but is also as a way of worship. The growth of the Muslim population around the world has somehow paved a way for more Muslim entrepreneurs to get involved in entrepreneurship activities in responding towards the current market as well as abiding with the religious teachings. To date, studies have hardly looked into the research trends pertaining to Islamic entrepreneurship. Hence, it is the attempt of the present study to provide some insights regarding the focus of research, the trends and the gaps to be filled by future researchers. Guided by the PRISMA Statement research method, a systematic review of scientific databases and manual search on established sources identified 84 related studies based on five properties namely types of paper, countries of studies, research design, research topics, and overall research trends. Findings revealed that most of papers are original studies, conducted in Malaysia, and being exploratory in nature. Four themes and fourteen sub-themes related to Islamic entrepreneurship were identified, comprising organizational characteristics (6 sub-themes), entrepreneurs’ traits (4 sub-themes), enterprise support system (2 sub-themes), and external forces (4 sub-themes). Overall, no topic has yet to approach the saturation level in research. Ia telah memberikan sumbangan yang besar terhadap pengukuhan kefahamaan Islam dalam masyarakat Islam di Malaysia. Oleh itu, kajian ini dijalankan untuk mengenal pasti penerimaan responden terhadap bahan dan metod pengajaran dalam pengajian takmir di institusi masjid. Kajian ini menggunakan reka bentuk kuantitatif. Sebanyak 30 buah masjid di negeri Selangor sampel telah dipilih dengan menggunkan kaedah persampelan rawak kluster. Seramai 400 responden telah dipilih di tiga zon daerah masjid kariah negeri Selangor. Data kajian telah dikumpul menggunakan menggunakan soal selidik. Data kajian telah dianalisis secara deskriptif dan inferensi dengan nilai kekerapan, peratus, purata min dan analisis varian sehala (ANOVA). Hasil kajian mendapati penerimaan responden terhadap mawduk dalam pembelajaran akidah dengan nilai purata min di tahap tinggi (min = 3.90), penerimaan mawduk dalam pembelajaran ibadah dengan purata min di tahap tinggi (min = 4.03), penerimaan mawduk dalam pembelajaran akhlak dengan purata min di tahap tinggi (min = 3.98), penerimaan mawduk dalam pembelajaran hadith dan tafsir dengan nilai purata min di tahap sederhana tinggi (min = 3.69), dan penerimaan mawduk dalam pembelajaran sirah dengan nilai purata min di tahap sederhana tinggi (min = 3.69). Dapatan kajian turut mendapati penerimaan responden terhadap metod pengajaran pengajar dengan nilai purata min di tahap sederhana (min = 3.58). Terdapat perbezaan yang signifikan kekerapan responden mengikuti pengajian takmir masjid dengan bahan yang disediakan (P = 0.007, P<0.05) dan metod pengajaran yang disampaikan (P = 0.035, P<0.05). Implikasi kajian menunjukkan pengajian takmir masjid telah diterima dengan baik dalam masyarakat Islam kerana memberikan nilai penting kepada pembelajaran sepanjang hayat (PSH) bagi mengukuhkan kehidupan beragama. Dengan menggunakan metode analisis kandungan secara holistik dan pemerhatian, kertas ini akan menghuraikan pendekatan motivasi agama berserta pengaplikasiannya menerusi modul pembangunan diri remaja dalam Program Motivasi Alihan Pelajar. Berdasarkan analisis, kesemua sebelas slot yang terkandung dalam modul tersebut telah menggunakan pendekatan motivasi agama yang terdiri daripada langkah pertama iaitu; pengurusan emosi dan pemikiran dan langkah kedua; konsistensi amal. Kajian ini merumuskan, intervensi pembangunan diri remaja melalui dua pendekatan motivasi agama ini didapati lebih komprehensif dan integratif sesuai dengan keperluan psikologikal remaja. In Indonesia, Islamic education contributed remarkably towards national growth. Nevertheless, it is not simple to accomplish the Islamic education goal due to its problem with the concept and method. This article examined the current Islamic educational thought, according to Azyumardi Azra. It studied the relevant literature and engaged it based on critical content analysis. The research discovered that Azyumardi Azra believed Muslims could meet the needs of modernity only by integrating the classical model of Islamic education and modern Western education. It is imperative to be administered so that Islamic education is more comprehensive, liberal, and democratic.
