Though inherently parallel, they have distinct synchronizations points which stumbles attempts to create completely distributed versions of it. In this paper, we attempt to create a completely distributed peer-peer particle swarm optimization in a cluster of heterogeneous nodes. Since, the original algorithm requires explicit synchronization points we modified the algorithm in multiple ways to support a peer-peer system of nodes. We also modify certain aspect of the basic PSO algorithm and show how certain numerical problems can take advantage of the same thereby yielding fast convergence.","PeriodicalId":415494,"journal":{"name":"2012 Sixth International Conference on Genetic and Evolutionary Computing","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-08-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114532100","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Digital watermarking is commonly used as a protection mechanism for files posted on the Internet. in recent years, the launching of social networking websites has highlighted the importance of looking into digital content security. in this study, the characteristics of digital watermarking and the influencing factors of digital rights management were used to analyze digital content providers' needs for managing digital rights. the results showed that value, share, protection, and management are four factors that can be used to analyze a digital content provider's requirements. Furthermore, it was found that digital content providers give importance to the management of the content that they share, and when they share contents online, they want to prevent illegal attacks. Different providers were then analyzed, and it was found that the female respondents often share digital content, so they need digital protection more than the male respondents. Older people were found to be very careful about the value of the digital content that they post online, they need protection to preserve that value. If the digital content industry and the Internet can provide appropriate digital rights management for users, those users will be satisfied in using it.","PeriodicalId":415494,"journal":{"name":"2012 Sixth International Conference on Genetic and Evolutionary Computing","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-08-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116428605","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Due to the rapid development of computer network technologies, users may gain the desired services in a multi-server environment. These film's isodose curves were acquired to Osiris (Geneva University Hospital) software to aim directly on single interested dose curve for fractal characteristic analysis and the results were compared with the corresponding planning desired isodose curves for fractal dimension analysis so as to broach a criterion to determine the coincidence in between planning and measurement. the film measured isodose curves and computer planning curves are deemed identical in dose distribution if their fractal dimensions are within some criterion which implicate that fractal dimension is a unique fingerprint of a curve in checking planning and film measurement results. Dose measured result of film is presumed to be the same if their fractal dimension are within 1%. the comparison of treatment planning isodose distributions and film dosimetry measurement can be more accurately done by fractal dimension numerical analysis, and furthermore mathematic way to do comparison reduce visual inspection discrepancy. This quantitative rather than qualitative comparison procedure will help decrease errors in dosimetry verification.","PeriodicalId":415494,"journal":{"name":"2012 Sixth International Conference on Genetic and Evolutionary Computing","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-08-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129901443","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper investigates how to do base station deployment in a micro-cell of WCDMA system. in cell planning, how to deploy the base station for better performance is a NP-hard optimizing problem, so it needs an optimization algorithm to find the solution. Genetic algorithm is an algorithm that simulates the evaluation process of gene which the process is combined of crossover and mutation processes and is used to solve many optimization problems. in this paper, the optimum solution which the required coverage can be met with least number of base station, location and antenna heights for base station deployment by using genetic algorithm is proposed. for future works, the loading and interference of base station can be put together as criteria to evaluate the performance of the cell and obtained a system that can fulfill the coverage and throughput requirement with minimum base stations.","PeriodicalId":415494,"journal":{"name":"2012 Sixth International Conference on Genetic and Evolutionary Computing","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-08-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128651351","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We had proposed an innovated sensor observation service with web-based and GIS-based architecture, which is named WSN Application Service Platform (WASP) [25]. Then, we proposed a flexible SWE-based Data Observation and Event Notification Framework on Social Networks for smart home applications [26] based on WASP. All sensors and devices provide their location information to data center and form a community. In this paper, we continue the frameworks that have proposed in [25] and [26]. We design an efficient platform to gather the wellness data from devices through wireless networks automatically. We also proposed an scheme can saving more power and bandwidth.
