Pulmonary disorders are the main manifestations of this disease, although there are also extrapulmonary manifestations, which are more common in immunocompromised patients, as example of the patients coinfected with HIV. Liver abscess is the least common form of injury. However, when analyzing mortality rates and treatment outcomes, it is one of the worst prognostic extrapulmonary manifestations.
