The study also analyzes the emergency context of these memories. \"El Olimpo\" was located in a residential area in Floresta, City of Buenos Aires. Through the analysis of court testimonies, interviews, Human Rights organizations' reports and specialized bibliography, this study investigates the perceptions on both sides of the walls of \"El Olimpo\" of how the center worked and its location, so as to broaden the awareness of how state terrorism works and the consequences it has in a local level. Remedi","doi":"10.35305/ac.v17i22.1047","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.35305/ac.v17i22.1047","url":null,"abstract":"Este trabajo se inserta en una línea de investigación sobre los pobres y la pobreza en Córdoba, Argentina, en el marco de grandes transformaciones producidas entre fines del siglo XIX y las primeras décadas del siglo XX, como la modernización material y social, la urbanización, la institucionalización estatal y el crecimiento económico. Dichos cambios fueron acompañados de una serie de desajustes sociales que afectaron a los sectores populares. En este contexto emergió un conjunto de prácticas destinadas a mitigar el déficit material y moral de esos grupos, que dibujaron fronteras difusas y móviles entre la sociedad civil y el Estado en la distribución de bienestar y la asistencia a los pobres. Nuestra atención se concentra en el servicio doméstico, integrado mayormente por mujeres pobres. En esta línea, este trabajo estudia las denominadas “escuelas de sirvientas” existentes en la ciudad de Córdoba en las décadas de 1910 y 1920, gestionadas por organizaciones benéficas y/o religiosas; se examinan sus objetivos y funciones, funcionamiento e impacto sobre el mercado laboral y sobre las domésticas. On the first hand, this work takes into account, the conflicts that took place between the Paraguayan national section and the Komintern in a context of imminence of the Chaco War (1932-1935). These disagreements were both related to the possibilities of the Paraguayan section to apply the anti-war tactics promoted by the Communist International and to the internal crisis of the Communist Party of Argentina (1927-1928) that resulted in the split of the group led by Penelon. On the second hand, this paper studies some aspects of the activity of the anti-war committees in Paraguay, a political expression of anti-war movements promoted by the Comintern which sought to transform war into social revolution. Finally, this work analyses the period after the end of the war conflict in which the “revolucion Febrerista” (1936) rose up, as a movement that unified different sectors under nationalism and anti-liberalism. By then, the strategy of the Komintern, since its VII Congress in 1935, had undergone a turn by prioritizing the formation of popular fronts, which led Paraguayan communism to join the coalition that supported the government of Rafael Franco (1936-1937). It is a key period to understand the communist attempts to apply the strategy of the “Popular Front” in the perimeters of the trade union organization, which allows us to think about its real conditions of realization and the contexts in which such a political enterprise was deployed. This study not only aims to provide a greater understanding of the performance of communism in the trade union area but also to illuminate the relationship that this force had with the other workers movement with which it tried to coalition or confront, such as syndicalism and socialism. There is a bibliography that referred to this communist presence in the trade union movement, but whitout these specific temporary and thematic cuts.
