Using model of harmonic material has allowed to apply the theory of complex potentials and to obtain exact analytical global solutions of nonlinear problems. Among them it is problem of bi-material plate with the stresses and strains jumps on the interface. As an application of the problem of jumps, the problem of concentrated force on an interface boundary of two half-planes and the problem of interface crack. Mechanical properties of half-planes are described by the model of John’s harmonic material. Application of this model has allowed to use the methods of a complex functions theory and to obtain exact analytical solution of problems. The values of nominal stresses and displacements are founded. The asymptotic expansions based on the global solutions are constructed for stresses and displacements in a vicinity of a point force and in a vicinity of crack tip. As an example the case of a free crack in plate subjected to constant stresses at infinity is studied.","PeriodicalId":407958,"journal":{"name":"2016 Young Researchers in Vacuum Micro/Nano Electronics (VMNE-YR)","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115210509","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The simulation and analysis of the field emission are carried out based on density-functional theory using a hybrid functional B3LYP and 6-31g basis set for initial approximation. The structures considered are the ideally open (3, 0), (3, 3), (5, 5) nanotubes. Ideal models have been optimized in terms of the total energy, forming closed or deformed structures. Calculated field emission properties of individual nanotubes are compared.","PeriodicalId":407958,"journal":{"name":"2016 Young Researchers in Vacuum Micro/Nano Electronics (VMNE-YR)","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134525782","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This review presents an overview of surface functionalised graphene/polymer nanocomposites discussing different strategies for functionalization of graphene, a series of effective processing routes for producing high quality polymer nanocomposites and recent developments in the electrical properties of functionalised grapheme polymer nanocomposites. Finally, this review provides an overview of potential applications of the graphene based polymer nanocomposites in various areas, such as sensors, electrodes, energy storage, EMI and ESD materials.","PeriodicalId":407958,"journal":{"name":"2016 Young Researchers in Vacuum Micro/Nano Electronics (VMNE-YR)","volume":"64 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131838090","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The axially symmetrical diode system with a field cathode on a plane substrate and a plane anode is under investigation. The effect of the field emitter is simulated using the charged circular lines to solve the boundaryvalue problem so that the zero electrostatic equipotential coincided with the cathode surface. The potentialal distribution as the Fourier-Bessel series is found an analytical form in the cylindrical coordinates.","PeriodicalId":407958,"journal":{"name":"2016 Young Researchers in Vacuum Micro/Nano Electronics (VMNE-YR)","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122771665","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We outline the history of discovery, principal characteristics of the explosion emission, and various possible applications of this effect. We also describe the first experimental results on the excitation of a fundamentally new kind of the electric field-driven high current emission from carbon nanoclusters. The explosive emission effect allowed to design a novel class of the portable X-ray equipment. The most recent information about construction of such devices is also discussed.","PeriodicalId":407958,"journal":{"name":"2016 Young Researchers in Vacuum Micro/Nano Electronics (VMNE-YR)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134233418","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
