The interpretation is based on the geological map and structural data, collected during the prospecting. The data indicates that а regional sinistral shearing was responsible for a low rank sinistral shear system, which created ore depositional space by the combined action of shear extension and compression. The two mechanisms opened tension gashes, dilated previously formed Riedel faults and buckled the veins and the faults. The buckling happened, when the structures were rotated anticlockwise in the compressional quadrant of the space between the regional shears thus creating buckling structures. Ore shoots have been formed in the extended domains of the main shear and along the dilated previously formed Riedel shears.","PeriodicalId":40733,"journal":{"name":"Spisanie Na B Lgarskoto Geologichesko Druzhestov-Review of the Bulgarian Geological Society","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2022-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42913645","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The species C. megaphylla was found for the first time in the middle Miocene flora from Satovcha (SW Bulgaria). So far, this species has been established in the middle Miocene flora from Ruzhintsi (NW Bulgaria). A revision of the species C. distans from the Satovcha paleoflora as Cornus aff. alba has also been made. A new finding of a leaf imprint from the Satovcha local paleoflora proves that the fossil material has the closest morphological features to the recent species C. alba.","PeriodicalId":40733,"journal":{"name":"Spisanie Na B Lgarskoto Geologichesko Druzhestov-Review of the Bulgarian Geological Society","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2022-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"48381055","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Here is cropping out a huge marl olistolith embedded among Middle Jurassic turbidites of the Kotel Olistostrome Formation. It contains Late Triassic (Norian) hydrozoa and corals, identified by the first explorers of the Bulgarian lands as early as the end of the 19th century. Well preserved eclogite paragenesis is presented by omphacite+garnet+rutile and is obliterated by still high temperature retrograde assemblage of newly formed garnet, diopside, amphibole, plagioclase, titanite, and quartz. The P-T conditions of the high pressure metamorphism are in the range 620–665 °C and 1.8–2.0 GPa, whereas the retrograde stage occurs at temperature 600–650 °C and pressure 0.6–0,8 GPa. This gap is predicted to increase, making Europe even more dependent on outside suppliers. AGEMERA is a project to help tackle this strategic problem by studying several CRM sites in Finland, Poland, Spain, the Balkans, and Zambia in different deposit types. To check the potential of the porphyry systems in Europe as a source of CRMs, the Assarel porphyry-Cu deposit was chosen as a test site. Here we present preliminary geochemical and mineral chemistry data for hydrothermal ore and alteration minerals in Assarel that reveal the potential of the deposit to source some CRMs as by-products. Further studies will combine the geochemical data with innovative geophysical methods for an improved deposit model and provide enhanced knowledge about effective exploration techniques for CRMs.","PeriodicalId":40733,"journal":{"name":"Spisanie Na B Lgarskoto Geologichesko Druzhestov-Review of the Bulgarian Geological Society","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2022-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47422933","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Our new field and petrographic studies in the area show that the pluton consists of several main rock varieties namely gabbro, gabbrodiorite, granodiorite and granites, whose relationships evidences magma mixing processes. The internal parts of the former chamber contain levels enriched in mafic microgranular enclaves forming pronounced magmatic foliation, which towards western contact of the pluton transits to a subvertical N-S trending solid-state foliation and both parallelize the main foliation of the metamorphic host rocks. The latter evidences for a room creation and magma emplacement in tectonically active setting.","PeriodicalId":40733,"journal":{"name":"Spisanie Na B Lgarskoto Geologichesko Druzhestov-Review of the Bulgarian Geological Society","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2022-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47695535","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
