Normally these CCTVs are turned on and are recording footage 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. It is advantageous in full surveillance sweep of the area. However, 24/7 CCTV is storage and power consuming and can take toll in replaying the footages. This paper studied the effect of automating the start and stop recording of a security camera using the Passive infrared sensor, ultrasonic sensor, and temperature sensors to be able to save memory space in SD card and power consumption. The system was able to detect and only record relevant footage which involves a human being within the system's perimeter. The system was able to get an 80%, 90%, and 85% accuracy on human, animal, and overall accuracy respectively.","PeriodicalId":406112,"journal":{"name":"2023 15th International Conference on Computer and Automation Engineering (ICCAE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124403291","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

According to the literature, RWCVP is the only MCDM method that requires no additional methods and models for solving MCDM problems with uncertain data (e.g., fuzzy logic). The new method computes the areas generated between two connected vectors of the alternatives’ rates against the criteria and the criteria weights in order to determine the best alternative. In spite of the fact that RWCVP does not require using the current models and theories, such as fuzzy logic or grey systems theory, for solving the MCDM problems with uncertain data, it still demands a numeric pattern to convert the uncertain information into the numeric values. Hence, we proposed RWCVP: Type I, which utilizes triangular numbers with two upper and lower bounds and a center. The new method was applied to a numeric example and compared with fuzzy TOPSIS and TOPSIS with defuzziefied values. The obtained results revealed that RWCVP: Type I is a reliable MCDM method in dealing with uncertainty and is more transparent than the TOPSIS method.","PeriodicalId":406112,"journal":{"name":"2023 15th International Conference on Computer and Automation Engineering (ICCAE)","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127804153","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Application interfaces are used that are capable to exchange data between the robot and highly complex AI services running on a remote server. Such application programming interfaces (APIs) can be applied by users who have little or no experience with the linked AI techniques. The consequences would be a reduction of barriers in the sense of AI democratization for in-house developers lacking special expertise and the facilitation of development for a wider user base including those without specialized knowledge of AI. We describe some application examples in a generic case study, how they are built and the different APIs that are used. Technical problems and limitations of our attempts are also mentioned.","PeriodicalId":406112,"journal":{"name":"2023 15th International Conference on Computer and Automation Engineering (ICCAE)","volume":"221 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116011157","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In a traditional engineering laboratory, students \"learn by doing\", and laboratory equipment facilitates their discipline-specific knowledge acquisition. Unfortunately, there were significant educational uncertainties, such as COVID-19, which halted laboratory activities for an extended period, causing challenges for students to perform and obtain practical experiments on campus. To overcome these challenges, this research proposes and develops an Artificial Intelligence-based smart tele-assisting technology application to digitalize first-year engineering students practical experience by incorporating Augmented Reality (AR) and Machine Learning (ML) algorithms using the HoloLens 2. This application improves virtual procedural demonstrations and assists first-year engineering students in conducting practical activities remotely. This research also applies various machine learning algorithms to identify and classify different images of electronic components and detect the positions of each component on the breadboard (using the HoloLens 2). Based on a comparative analysis of machine learning algorithms, a hybrid CNN-SVM (Convolutional Neural Network - Support Vector Machine) model is developed and is observed that a hybrid model provides the highest average prediction accuracy compared to other machine learning algorithms. With the help of AR (HoloLens 2) and the hybrid CNN-SVM model, this research allows students to reduce component placement errors on a breadboard and increases students competencies, decision-making abilities, and technical skills to conduct simple laboratory practices remotely.","PeriodicalId":406112,"journal":{"name":"2023 15th International Conference on Computer and Automation Engineering (ICCAE)","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114427024","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Banana is a top-traded fruit worldwide. The Philippines is a major banana exporter and producer of the Cavendish variety, the primary variant exported to other countries. Numerous diseases have affected the banana trade, but the disease that has significantly impacted the export trade in the Philippines is the Fusarium oxysporum, Panama Tropical Race 4, and Panama Wilt, more commonly known as the Panama Disease. This paper's primary goal is to obtain the leaf degradation percentage with image segmentation of color spaces while utilizing OpenCV. The t-Statistic had a value of 0.34 and a t-Critical of 2.082. The t-Statistic has a lower value than the t-Critical, meaning that the null hypothesis that the method for determining the presence of Panama Disease is on par with field surveying and testing methods regarding leaf degradation should not be rejected.","PeriodicalId":406112,"journal":{"name":"2023 15th International Conference on Computer and Automation Engineering (ICCAE)","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126036415","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The design enables the residential consumers to keep an eye on their monthly billing statement and monitor the peak demands of each appliance or load. It gives the user a real time electricity consumption of their loads such as refrigerator, air-conditioning unit and lighting load. This way, the user will be aware of his consumption together with its corresponding maximum demand of different loads and the total amount in pesos. The user will also be able to monitor different loads simultaneously and determine the total power consumption in different time intervals. The design uses zigbee wireless sensor technology to transfer the data wirelessly for accurate recording of information.","PeriodicalId":406112,"journal":{"name":"2023 15th International Conference on Computer and Automation Engineering (ICCAE)","volume":"42 9","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120910889","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
