The triac is modeled as a nonlinear equivalent resistor. Considering the triggering and conducting conditions of the triac and the conducting condition of the rectifier, a piecewise state space model is set up. Based on that, a discrete iteration mapping model is further developed to analyze the transient behavior of the system. The typical characteristics of various period-doubling bifurcation phenomena are described by phase portraits. Using the symbolic sequence analysis method, both the border collision and standard period-doubling bifurcations are identified in the system. It has been found that the border collision bifurcation is caused by the missing conduction of the triac. A set of bifurcation diagrams showing the period doubling bifurcation behaviors of the system with relation to the circuit variables and parameters have been plotted. The results obtained can be used to guide the analysis and design of thyristor type controllable rectifier circuits. It also gives the principle of the two-probe flatness error separation measurement, establishes the corresponding mathematical models, and carries on the simulation analysis and experiment testifying. Theoretical simulation and experimental result have proved the correctness and effectiveness of the separation principle (1) after analyzing the data with the two-probe error separation measurement, we can obtain the flatness of the panel measured as well as the straight error of the guiding rail.(2) when measuring with the two-probe measurement, the accumulation error of the initial position of the sensors is linear, so it can not influent the assessment of the error.(3) the two-probe error separation technology uses less one or two probes than the flatness error separation technology with the three or four probes does, so it need not consider installing several sensors on a plane and eliminates the problem made by the non-linear accumulation error of the initial position of the sensors. System models have been established based on this data fusion method. Integrated navigation system uses GPS parameters as criterion to judge the validity of GPS. When GPS is valid, neural network is adopted for state estimation, which is four-layered network with 5-input/3-output neurons and two hidden layers. When GPS is invalid, DR is introduced by using outputs from IMU and odometer and initial information from BP network. Training and simulation are made with this BP network based integrated navigation system, whose performance is improved according to the simulation. The dummy load is used to maintain the power balance of the system under changing wind and loading conditions. The performance of the remote area power system subject to various loading conditions has been evaluated in terms of the voltage quality, an aspect which has not received much attention in the past. The existing Distributed Generation (DG) power quality standards are taken as the basis to compare the voltage quality of the simulated waveforms. The simulation results indicate that the system evaluated is able to maintain the load bus bar voltage and frequency within tight limits whereas a better harmonic performance can be achieved if adequate filtering is employed. To create the model the finite element method (FEM) implemented in the Matlab environment was used. The part two of the paper is concentrated on possibility of using a neural network for the thermal parameters determination. The artificial neural network (ANN) is used to estimate the coefficients of the inverse heat conduction problem for solid. The network determines the value of the effective thermal conductivity and the effective thermal diffusivity on the basis of temperature responses of the hot probe and the auxiliary thermometer. During selection of optimal ANN architecture several configurations were evaluated. The influence of measurands uncertainty on identified values of the thermal parameters was also analyzed. The offered SSDC uses a filtered feedback from generator acceleration power signal and after passing through a proportional gain it is added to automatic voltage regulator (AVR) output. Two filters are used and the cut off frequencies are specified intelligently in order to affect only the modes that are critical to damping capability of the system. The IEEE Second Benchmark problem is considered as the studying system. The simulation results proved that the designed controller can be successfully used in damping the oscillations for the all series compensation ratios even when small and large disturbances influence the system. Due to the combination of mechanics, electronics, and software in the field of mechatronics, specific methods and tools are used in the development process. Nowadays, many solutions exist for describing the specification of production plants. In order to reduce the product and development costs as well as to increase their quality, the development process is strongly supported by models. These models enable an early validation of the required properties. Especially those models applied at the end of the development process or in virtual or hybrid commissioning represent the required behavior of the plant fairly in detail. Therefore, not only increasing attention is drawn to the reduction of efforts for modeling and simulation but to their reuse in similar developments, e.g. by providing construction kits for simulation or their application even in the lifecycle of the production plants. Unfortunately, this kind of reuse, e.g. during the operation phase, is not a focus of current research, although the potential of improving e.g. the operation phase is considerable. The Taylor series expansion is used to carry out the prediction defined on a finite horizon. However, it's well-known that this control strategy cannot remove completely the steady state error under mismatched parameters and load torque. Then, the full knowledge of machine parameters and operating conditions must be used to compute the control law. For that reason, a disturbance observer is designed for the estimation of the offset caused by the parameters uncertainties and external disturbance. By taking into account the offset observer in the global control system design, an equivalent cascaded proportional integration (PI) action is obtained. The performances of the proposed control strategy are analysed by simulation. The use of multi-packet protocol gives the system the ability to perform configurations during teleoperation time, something that is impossible with mono-packet protocol. A traditional casting process uses a mold with a pouring gate and some sprue runners through which melted metal is introduced into a mold cavity. In recent years, we have developed a novel casting process that improves the yield of production and reduces heat loss. The new process, called a press casting method, has the capability to produce a thin wall casting. In order to carry out the new casting process, mold shaping that affects the accuracy of goods must always be observed. In this paper, we propose a method for measuring a mold shape using two pairs of stereo cameras. A stereo camera method for 3D shape measurement is widely used in various fields. The reason is that the method can obtain 3D data of a shape of an object within a very short period of time without contact with the object. But search process for finding a stereo pair images takes not a little time, and it is the weakest point of the method. We achieved fast searching by using a shape model of a metal mold to form the sand mold.
