High flow nasal cannula (HFNC), which has been shown beneficial in acute respiratory failure previously, also came to the fore. We aimed to investigate the efficacy of HFNC on patients hospitalized in intensive care units due to COVID-19. Materials and Methods: We retrospectively screened the patients followed in the intensive care unit due to COVID-19. Patients treated with HFNC performed the study group. We analyzed the relationship between demographics, laboratory results, treatment modalities, complications, and outcomes. Results: Among the 330 patients included mean ventilation duration with HFNC was 7.84 days. 170 (51.5%) patients intubated during HFNC treatment. Only 5 of them were extubated. Intubated patients had higher mean HFNC duration (9.74 days - min: 2, max: 49) compared to nonintubated patients (6.05 days - min: 1, max: 30). There was a significant relationship between mortality and age (OR: 1.04), APACHE II score (OR: 1.35), having cancer (OR: 3.89), receiving NIV (OR: 5.94), and presence of secondary bacterial infection (OR: 44.6). Conclusion: HFNC, whose benefit in acute respiratory failure has been proven, is also widely and successfully used in COVID-19 patients. Comprehensive randomized studies are needed to demonstrate the effect of HFNC use on intubation requirement and mortality. We experienced various problems associated with ECMO vascular cannulation (malposition, thrombosis, recannulation, collapse) in 3 patients who developed coronavirus disease-2019 acute respiratory distress syndrome and received veno-venous ECMO support, and here we share our experience in their management. Appropriate vascular cannula size, vascular cannula structure, selection of the vascular cannulation site, and precise vascular cannulation can make ECMO support more effective and reliable. Physiotherapy plays an important role in restoring physical functions in the subacute phase following ECMO decannulation. After being discharged, and with combined rehabilitation, these patients experience a faster recovery and their quality of life increases. In this article, the effects of the combined physiotherapy program, which was applied to two patients with COVID-19 who received ECMO treatment and were discharged from the intensive care unit, is discussed. Early application of the combined rehabilitation program after discharge resulted in a positive outcome. In this case report, we aimed to present the diagnosis and treatment modalities of a patient who developed rhinoorbital mucormycosis. A 54-year-old patient with a history of hypertension applied to the emergency department with a complaint of wound in the mouth that started four days ago. In the examinations performed here, the patient was diagnosed with diabetic ketoacidosis. In the examination of the patient, it was found that there was a necrotic wound on the left hard palate, a necrotic wound extending from the left inferior turbinate to the nasopharynx, and hyphae in the nasal passage. The patient underwent an aggressive debridement operation on the third day, due to the growth in the fungal culture. In the following clinical examination of the patient, ketone in the urine became negative, and his acidosis status improved. On the same day, the patient was treated with a positive coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) polymerase chain reaction. After 15 days of treatment, the patient died due to COVID-19 pneumonia. Mucormycosis should be doubtful in patients presenting with uncontrolled diabetes mellitus and severe sinoorbital infection. All physicians following diabetic ketoacidosis should be vigilant against this rapidly progressing disease with high mortality. On beş günlük tedaviden sonra hasta COVID-19 pnömonisi nedeniyle eksitus kabul edildi.
