As a consequence of the worldwide surge of COVID-19 instances, several schools and institutions in almost every region of the globe have closed in 2020 or switched to online or remote learning, which will have a variety of repercussions for student learning. This has led to educators and students spending more time online than ever before, with both groups researching, learning, and familiarizing themselves with information, resources, tools, and frameworks to adapt to online or remote learning. Data mining and analysis are being done to analyze such online activity. For the construction of this dataset, the web-based data in the form of search interests connected to online learning, gathered through Google searches, was mined using Google Trends. Currently, the dataset comprises web-based data related to online learning for the 20 nations that COVID-19 negatively touched at the time of its construction. This project aims to create and evaluate time-series forecasting models of a country's end-of-term performance, explore how the pandemic has influenced the migrations of people throughout the globe, and estimate the nations' future online learning needs. Regression techniques such as linear regression, multilayer regression, and SMO regression are utilized. This is done by looking at previous data, identifying the trends, and creating short-term or long-term projections. The data demonstrate that the approach of SMO regression causes fewer errors with improved accuracy compared to others.","PeriodicalId":405558,"journal":{"name":"Advances in Mobile Learning Educational Research","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125931353","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The educational community was called to deal with this emergency with the primary goal to maintain students’ contact with the educational process. The urgent use of distance communication and teaching forms was a project with many difficulties for teachers, students, and parents. In all this transition process, the practice and learning communities that teachers themselves organized were crucial. The Greek eTwinning community immediately implemented three MOOC seminars (Mass Open Online Courses), which were designed to assist them in the use and pedagogical utilization of distance education tools. More than 30,000 teachers participated in these seminars. In this paper, we present the results of a survey conducted on a sample of 1080 Greek teachers, members of the eTwinning community, and we describe how they dealt with remotely teaching. The research refers to tools used, the distance communication content, and the difficulties encountered to implement the whole project.","PeriodicalId":405558,"journal":{"name":"Advances in Mobile Learning Educational Research","volume":"94 6","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133017929","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As the current tourism education is considered traditional, changes in learning environments, educational methods, and curricula are required. Additionally, the latest COVID- 19 pandemic developments have led to a new perspective of education through digital technologies, changing how universities perceive the teaching and the learning process. As a result of these circumstances, the transformation of higher tourism education is more than ever a current issue preparing students to face the new challenges that arise. This paper proposes an educational framework using the Transformative Learning Theory and digital technologies, providing a contemporary learning design, and offering flexible use of many digital technologies and tools, leading to the development of tourism students according to the needs of modern society. It can also lead to the transformation of dysfunctional beliefs and assumptions of tourism students to be more functional and thrive. Implementing the educational framework can lead to the upgrade of the provided tourism education and its transformation, leading to a higher quality of the tourism services.","PeriodicalId":405558,"journal":{"name":"Advances in Mobile Learning Educational Research","volume":"133 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133982132","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The science of telemedicine is helping to reduce social inequalities, improve health services, and support patients with chronic diseases regardless of geographic location, income, or educational level. This study aimed to investigate the degree of familiarity, skills, and satisfaction of health professionals with the provision of telehealth—the use of remote therapies in times of emergency, such as a pandemic. The analysis of the results showed that although health professionals feel familiar with the electronic platforms for teleconferencing, they need training and technical support to automate their electronic services to become as functional as the face-to-face sessions. The study contributed by identifying limited knowledge regarding the credentials and potentials of online teleconferencing systems on behalf of health experts.","PeriodicalId":405558,"journal":{"name":"Advances in Mobile Learning Educational Research","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130117256","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Remote teaching is not only one of the primary modes of teaching and learning in the present context throughout the world but the transition from paper to the digital world, where mathematics teachers struggle to visualize the content concisely and clearly. This paper focuses on promoting pedagogy and learning and learner empowerment by emphasizing autonomy and engagement rather than technology. The ethos of this paper is all about encouraging the mathematics teachers to promote the students for quality engagement while teaching remotely. However, all the remotely leading ICT tools require some techniques and methodologies, thereby the mathematics teachers' skill, experience, and expertise. Those skills, experiences, and expertise will be developed by excelling in mathematics teachers' ICT tools. This paper shall be one of the guiding principles for mathematics teachers (but not limited to) while dealing with the mathematics content remotely and/or in any other mode.","PeriodicalId":405558,"journal":{"name":"Advances in Mobile Learning Educational Research","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114139783","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In kindergarten education, properly designed digital educational activities can become a potent educational tool for efficient and effective learning. These tools allow children to take advantage of new learning platforms and effectively reach new knowledge through activities related to their immediate interests and real-life scenarios in learning domains, such as mathematics. At the Department of Preschool Education, University of Crete, systematic research was carried out in the last years to investigate whether there are compelling benefits to using tablet-type devices in preschool education to implement teaching reform proposals to implement the Realistic Mathematical Education in kindergarten classrooms. The findings propose mobile devices' integration, running developmentally appropriate apps, in kindergarten classrooms. These apps were based on the three levels of Realistic Mathematics Education (RME), targeting fundamental mathematical concepts for the kindergarten level.","PeriodicalId":405558,"journal":{"name":"Advances in Mobile Learning Educational Research","volume":"67 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121451535","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of an android-based budiran game assisted by SAC3 to improve science learning outcomes of fourth-graders in theme 1. Budiran stands for bunyi dan indra pendengaran. This game is educative in the form of an android-based game made by SAC3. It was developed with Borg & Gall's R&D model, adapted from Sugiyono with seven stages. The game's effectiveness in the fourth graders' science learning outcome was done with pretest and posttest control group design. The researchers took the experimental group of fourth-graders from Public Primary School Bendanpete 2 and Public Primary School Ngetuk 3. Then, the researcher took fourth-graders from Public Primary School 1 and 3 Bendanpete as the control group. The researcher obtained the data from the test. The data analysis included an n-gain test and t-test with a significant level of 0.05. The results showed improvement in the posttest score of the experimental group, higher than the control group's posttest score. The N-gain posttest of the experimental group is 64%, categorized as moderate. The t-test score on the posttest obtained t-count = 8.803, with significant level 0.000 < ɑ with ɑ = 0.05.
