The examination of abnormal elements of urinary sedimentation (EAS) involves the accomplishment of three distinct stages: physical analysis, chemical analysis and microscopic analysis of the sediment. After the physical and chemical examination the urinary sediment should be observed by microscopy. The components of urinary sediment as well as the results of chemical and physical analyzes have great clinical significance in the diagnosis and management of patients. To carry out these steps, extensive experience is required for accurate identification and classification. The objective of the present study was to estimate the changes present in the EAS exam in samples of patients attended in a clinical laboratory in the year 2017. The study was conducted at the Clinical Analysis Laboratory of UniEVANGELICA located in Anapolis - Goias - Brazil. 500 urine samples were processed according to the recommendations for the urine test established by the Brazilian Association of Technical Norms. Statistical analyzes were performed through the EpiInfo version 3.5.1 program. The results of the physical examination indicated the appearance variation in 170 samples, 34% (170/500) of the cases and 66% of the physical examinations were clear appearance (330/500), 24.20% were slightly cloudy (121 / 500), and only 9.8% were cloudy (49/500). The most prevalent staining was citrus yellow observed in 78.60% (393/500) followed by 20.20% light yellow (101/500) and other colors 1.2% (6/500). Sui generis odor was present in 96% of cases (480/500), fetid urine was reported in 4% of cases (indicative of infection). The chemical test showed bilirubin with 97.4% absent in the samples, 2.4% presence with a cross (+) and 1 samples (0.20%) with two crosses (++).The presence of ketone bodies was absent in 98.4% of the samples, and in 5 samples, 1 (0%) and 1 (0.20%) samples were obtained, ) with two crosses. The density presented values in various scales, high densities were visualized in 11.8% (59/500). The leukocyte esterase is indicative of inflammation, the test showed that 10.2% (51/500) samples had three crosses (+++), 8.2% (41/500) samples had (+) and 5.8% (29/500) of the samples had two crosses (++). The absence of leukocyte esterase was observed in 379 samples representing 75.8%. Glycosuria and proteinuria were observed in 17 samples, representing 3.4% each. The nitrite test that predicts a urinary tract infection was present in 9.8% of the samples. The changes present in EAS are in the physical evaluation of the sample, chemical and sedimentoscopic, revealed important clinical significance and serving as an aid for investigations of various metabolic and renal diseases, among others. In the evaluated population the majority was within the par","PeriodicalId":402007,"journal":{"name":"Diário da Teoria e Prática na Enfermagem 2","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132539382","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Souza, Rafaela Xavier de Assis, Janaína Andréa Moscatto","doi":"10.22533/at.ed.49219230920","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.22533/at.ed.49219230920","url":null,"abstract":"Mineral water is considered a universal high consumption product. Thus, it is necessary the monitoring of parameters that guarantee the continuity of production, sale and quality of these products. The mineral waters are in the so-called \"waters suitable for consumption\" and by RDC No. 274/2005 of the National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) are those obtained directly from natural sources or by extraction of groundwater, characterized by a defined and constant content of certain mineral salts, trace elements and other constituents, taking account of natural fluctuations. This legislation, along with RDC 275/2005, of the same body, define the identity and quality of this product. Considering this context, the objective of this work was to evaluate physical-chemical parameters and labeling of seven mineral water brands commercialized in Anapolis - GO. The seven brands (three 500mL each) were obtained in the local market and guided with their original packaging to the UNIEVANGELICA Food Analysis Laboratory, where the analyzes were carried out. Each sample was analyzed for the labeling items defined in RDC no54 / 2013, RDC no360 / 2003 and Law no 7.841 / 1945 and the physicochemical parameters: pH, total dry solids, chlorides, ammonia, sulfates, total alkalinity, hardness, turbidity and oxidizable substances. The labels of the seven samples presented accordingly. The product label is intended for consumer orientation and information, so it should be easy to understand. In addition to guiding the consumer, labeling helps prevent fraud and assists in the traceability of production. In the physical-chemical evaluations, only one sample was at odds with the parameter of oxidizable substances. The values obtained ranged from: pH 5.04 to 7.13 (4 to 10); total dry solids from 0.015mg / L to 0.239mg / L (up to 1000mg / L); chlorides 12.90mg / L to 39.70mg / L (<250mg); ammonia absent in all analyzed brands; hardness from 40.42mg / L to 145.84mg / L (<500mg / L), turbidity from 0.0NTU to 0.52NTU and oxidizable substances from 1.15mg / L to 2.55mg / L (2.0mg / L) . The physicochemical analyzes are aimed at evidencing the quality of the products, being key points in this product, to demonstrate the potability and origin of these waters. The analyzes carried out in this work demonstrated that of the seven selected brands, only one brand appeared in disagreement in one of the parameters analyzed, demonstrating that the packaging and marketing of these products are, in general, following the recommendations of Good Practices. However, for the complete guarantee of safety for the consumption, the microbiological analyzes indicated by the current legislation will be necessary.","PeriodicalId":402007,"journal":{"name":"Diário da Teoria e Prática na Enfermagem 2","volume":"88 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125663260","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
