He was born in Labastda and was inscribed at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Madrid, becoming one of the frst neoclassic architects in Alava, La Rioja and Navarra. This paper ofers new informaton about his born, his family, their bonds with the Moraza family, his contact with neoclassic artsts from Vitoria and Logrono and the works known nowadays. At this moment, new regulations from Trento prevailed in the Calahorra-La Calzada diocese, demanding more atention upon Eucharistc furniture, and artsts were capable of answering to these devotional demands through a new artistic style. We observe how in its engravings, as it happens in the rest of its artistic production, transgressor and innovator produces a constant search to him self across different materials, skills and styles that demonstrate its spirit. Its beginnings are analyzed in practice of the engraving, as well as the workshops to which it resorts to learn in the diverse skills that it applies with big tidiness. The capacity of communicaton of these fascinatng and disgustng images is inevitable as they turn into actve agents which interact directly with the public whom they are pointed. Among all of them, there is one that stands out for her frmness and for her visual impact.
