It is the fourth leading cause of disability. Approximately two-thirds of people in developed countries experience neck pain at some point in their life spans. \u0000Objectives: The aim of this study was to determine and to compare the improvement in cervical range of motion after applying low amplitude high velocity thrust manipulation and grade III Maitland mobilization. \u0000Materials and Methods: This Randomized controlled trial conducted, after approval from the ethical committee of King Edward Medical University from December 2017 to May 2018. The data was collected from patients who were presented to physiotherapy department of mayo hospital, Lahore. Total 40 subjects were randomly (computer generated table) assigned to two Groups i.e. A and B with each group containing20 subjects. The treatment was given in 2 weeks and total 6 sessions were given. Assessment of patients was done at 0 day (for baseline), after one week and at the end of the 2nd week. Along with this Inclinometer evaluation of cervical ROM was measured at every assessment. \u0000Results: Repeated measurement ANOVA test and independent t test were used for the within group and between groups analysis respectively. Significant improvement in cervical range of motion was found in both groups. \u0000Conclusion: The study concluded that there was significant improvement in Cervical Range of motion in our both groups but the Thrust falling superior to Maitland mobilization in improving Cervical Range of motion. \u0000Keywords: Cervical Range of Motion, Postural Neck Pain, Maitland Mobilization, Thrust Mobilization

Multistage cluster sampling was used to recruit students from 8th to 12th grades (N = 112; ages 13-18 years; 54.5% boys). Data were collected using a self-administered online questionnaire in November, 2018. Besides socio-demographics, Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support, Diener’s Satisfaction with Life Scale, Rosenberg’s Self-Esteem Scale and the Center for Epidemiological Studies Depression Scale for Children (CES-DC) were measured. \u0000Results: Depressive symptomatology was related to lower levels of life satisfaction among both boys and girls. The negative association between self-esteem and depressive symptoms was only significant for girls. In a preliminary multivariate analyses, family support played the most decisive role, and for girls, self-esteem acted as a protective mechanism as well. \u0000Conclusion: These findings underscore the important role of effective social support from parents and other family members, who were capable of providing a peaceful and safe environment for youth. Cultural factors may also contribute to the altering roles of different types of social support across gender groups.

An expert in the field with over 25 years of experience in multiple academic institutions and clinical practices was invited to have a through professional discussion using real life didactic educational model. The expert has engaged in full discussion with students, clinicians, staff members and other professionals to understand their perspectives regarding the practical application of the benefits obtained from adopting either the biomedical or the bio-psychosocial model of care delivery. A real complex case scenario was fully described to communicate the benefits and drawbacks derived from adopting certain model of care delivery. About 84% of participants indicated that they are lacking adequate understanding of the philosophy behind either model of health care delivery especially with complex rehabilitation conditions. In conclusion, the bio-psychosocial model of delivery of health care is more comprehensive and viable for addressing the multidimensional aspects of the needs of complex physical therapy and rehabilitation conditions.
