However, in our setting, and particularly for pediatric magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), it could be carried out on the day of the procedure. The aim of the study was to investigate the risks and consequences of an “on-day preanesthesia consultation.”</div></div><div><h3>Materials and methods</h3><div>In this prospective observational study, we included all children under 6 years of age scheduled for an MRI under sedation. The children included were divided into two groups: group 1 included children who had a scheduled preanesthesia consultation at least 1 day before the procedure, and group 2 included children who had this consultation on the day of the procedure. Then, we compared the morbidity and incidence of adverse events in the two groups.</div></div><div><h3>Results</h3><div>We included 242 children, 66 of whom had a preanesthesia consultation on the day of the procedure. The demographic data and the per-procedural anesthetic management were comparable between the two groups. Consultation on the day of the procedure was associated with an increased risk of anesthesia-related complications (p = .035; RR = 1.634 [1.05–2.544]), per-procedure awakening (p = .013; RR = 2.01 [1.26–3.205]), interprofessional conflicts (p = .034, RR = 2.22 [1.28–3.85]), and failure of the ambulatory procedure requiring conventional hospitalization (p = .014, RR = 2.38 [1.45–3.919]).</div></div><div><h3>Conclusions</h3><div>Preanesthesia consultation performed on the day of pediatric MRI under sedation, which increased the risks of anesthesia-related morbidity. Despite the rapid development within interventional radiology, few research studies have been based on the patient's perspective.</div></div><div><h3>Purpose</h3><div>The purpose of this study is to describe patient perception undergoing a coronary interventional procedure.</div></div><div><h3>Method</h3><div>A cross-sectional study was performed by using a modified version of the questionnaire, Quality of Patient Perspective in an Outpatient Surgery environment. The invited participants (n = 58) consisted of adult patients (≥18 years) who had undergone coronary angiography and/or percutaneous coronary interventions.</div></div><div><h3>Findings</h3><div>Most patients, n = 26 (65%), experienced anxiety to some degree regarding being awake during the radiological intervention. Despite that, 85% stated that their psychological well-being after the procedure was very good or good. All respondents indicated that they would seek care at the same department in the event of future care needs.</div></div><div><h3>Discussion</h3><div>The most important areas of improvement were related to the information and performance of the procedure. The positive findings were mainly related to the care provided by all the professions. It is important to continue to include the patient in their own care to establish safe and person-centered care.
