In recent years considerable attention has been attracted even by moderate iodine deficiency, the result of which is not only goiter but a number of health, social and economic problems. The aim of WHO in this field is to eliminate iodine deficiency in Europe by the year 2000. The contemporary situation of the child population in the Czech Republic as far as the iodine supply is concerned, requires immediate measures.</p>","PeriodicalId":39741,"journal":{"name":"Cesko-Slovenska Pediatrie","volume":"48 7","pages":"388-90"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1993-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"19361162","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The objective was to find which of the above cells will best reveal by a change of their number the pathological process in the lamina propria of children with coeliac sprue and which has the greatest informative value on the present state of the lamina propria. It was found that plasmocytes with IgG and cells containing IgE are good markers of the activity of coeliac sprue in the lamina propria. The best marker of the activity of coeliac sprue in the lamina propria are mast cells detected by the histochemical reaction for tryptase using Z-Ala-Ala-Lys-MNA. This reaction detects mast cells also in non-fixed bioptic material.</p>","PeriodicalId":39741,"journal":{"name":"Cesko-Slovenska Pediatrie","volume":"48 7","pages":"398-403"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1993-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"19359754","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

They emphasize the necessity of subsequent specialized care after attempted suicide even in cases where objectively inadequate methods were used, as in childhood and adolescence there is the danger that the attempt will be repeated. The authors mention the statistically most frequent combinations of suicidal behaviour and other diseases, disorders or social pathology, incl. pathological family relations. The authors emphasize the clinically tested experience demonstrated on case-histories that if the pathological family relations are not the obvious immediate cause of suicidal behaviour, they play nevertheless an important, frequently fundamental though latent role in the development of autoaggressive behaviour of children and adolescents. This is why the comprehensive therapeutic approach is based on family therapy which proceeds in the out-patient department after the patient has been discharged from hospital.</p>","PeriodicalId":39741,"journal":{"name":"Cesko-Slovenska Pediatrie","volume":"48 7","pages":"421-5"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1993-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"19359759","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
