Compared with traditional front wheel steering, 4WS (four wheel steering) has better stability in high-speed steering, but the intervention of rear wheel steering will reduce the performance of vehicle's path tracking. In this paper, the linear quadratic optimal control theory is used to design a front and rear wheel coordinated control method for the path tracking problem of active 4WS autonomous vehicle, which can improve the lateral stability of the vehicle and have a better path tracking ability. First of all, 2-DOF vehicle dynamics model and optimal preview path tracking model are established and combined, then different weighting functions are selected for the front and rear wheels to optimize the vehicle state. In the environment of MATLAB / CarSim, the simulation of the high-speed double shift line condition is carried out. The results show that the proposed control strategy, compared with the classical proportional control four-wheel steering vehicle, improves accuracy of path tracking, reduces the lateral speed and acceleration, and improves lateral stability of the vehicle.","PeriodicalId":397407,"journal":{"name":"2020 5th International Conference on Electromechanical Control Technology and Transportation (ICECTT)","volume":"221 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130711530","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is the unpredictably environmental conditions and the driver's limited sight distance that make unnecessary fuel consumption in the process of braking at the highway exit. This research is based on the road information of highway exit and the ramp limit speed provided by the Geographic Information System (GIS). The vehicle driving state is collected in real-time to estimate the parameters of car engine braking and air resistance characteristics. The early intervention of engine auxiliary braking is appropriately involved, which can be beneficial for reducing the engine fuel supply. Nine typical drivers were selected to take the test on the driving simulator. The test is that driving a commercial vehicle with unknown vehicle configuration on the highway exit road. The test results absolutely show that the vehicle parameters identification has great adaptability. The economic speed planning can improve the fuel economy by 1%. The economic speed planning system can be flexibly used in multiple driving systems and automatically adapt to the characteristic parameters of the vehicle type. This system has a promising and profitable prospect in improving the fuel economy of the commercial vehicle driving on the highway exit road.","PeriodicalId":397407,"journal":{"name":"2020 5th International Conference on Electromechanical Control Technology and Transportation (ICECTT)","volume":"104 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132744280","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Track excitations is summarized both for the existing railroad tracks and newly built high-speed railroad tracks, in which the main frequency is obtained. Then the wheel/rail interacting excitations resulting from the wheel and rail profiles' roughness are concluded, which contribute high-frequency vibrating on the vehicle and track. Furtherly, the hunting excitation of vehicle itself is concluded through presenting the wavelength of a free wheelset hunting and a bogie hunting. It is concluded that a vehicle, especially a high-speed train, bears a wide range of excitation frequencies from the track geometry, wheel/rail interaction and vehicle hunting.","PeriodicalId":397407,"journal":{"name":"2020 5th International Conference on Electromechanical Control Technology and Transportation (ICECTT)","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133759143","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, the theoretical models of the average time headway and average space headway were obtained from the classic ones. From the theoretical models, we know that different proportions of different vehicle models have a certain impact on the theoretical capacity of the trunk road section. As the proportion of heavy vehicles increases, the theoretical capacity of the trunk road section will decrease. The impact and modification of three factors like number of lanes, lane width and plane intersections on the theoretical capacity are further discussed in this paper, so as to obtain the capacity model of the actual trunk road section. Finally, the correctness and consistency of the capacity model are proved through the calculation of the living example, and the changing trend of the traffic capacity of mixed traffic flow under different vehicle proportions is analyzed, so as to conclude that the proportion of vehicles has a certain influence on the capacity of the road segment.","PeriodicalId":397407,"journal":{"name":"2020 5th International Conference on Electromechanical Control Technology and Transportation (ICECTT)","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132555114","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, based on cell automaton, applying traffic flow prediction theory, the open community traffic capacity prediction model is established. In order to make the problems simple and convincing, cellular automaton is utilized to simulate three selected types of opening communities—Mesh Structure Community (MSC), Ring Structure Community (RSC) and Tree Structure Community (TSC), the effects of which have quantitatively compared before and after opening. Vehicles are regarded as cells and cellular automaton rules are formulated based on the cell structure, surrounding road structures, and vehicle flow. After simulation, the results illustrate that after the opening of the MSC, the road capacity can be dramatically improved, while there is only slight improvement for RSC and TSC; and when the road structure and community type are fixed, the smaller the traffic volume is, the higher the road capacity will be.","PeriodicalId":397407,"journal":{"name":"2020 5th International Conference on Electromechanical Control Technology and Transportation (ICECTT)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114652071","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
