El marco teórico se basa en los estudios de Andrea Beckmann, Staci Newmahr y Margot Weiss sobre el BDSM consensual, así como en la dialéctica del señor y el esclavo de Friedrich Nietzsche. El artículo examina cómo la relación entre Fernanda y Julio cambia cuando Julio modifica su actitud hacia Fernanda. Se propone que cuando Julio reconoce que Fernanda posee valores éticos similares a los suyo, él comienza a tratarla como su igual, es decir, como un superior. Debido a esto, la posición de inferior absoluto que Fernanda tenía se transforma. Sin embargo, aún cuando los papeles de los dos personajes se modifican, nunca se invierten. Su relación representa deseos y afectos complejos, así como historias personales que reflejan y critican dinámicas de género y poder en el mundo del tráfico de drogas en México.","PeriodicalId":39612,"journal":{"name":"Revista Canadiense de Estudios Hispanicos","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-04-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"46964533","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Durante este periplo el personaje se ve a sí mismo de vidrio. Se encuentra al principio de su camino con dos situaciones que recuerdan a los mitos de la Metamorfosis de Publio Ovidio Nasón: Deucalión y Pirra, y Níobe. Ambos comparten el elemento simbólico de la piedra en contraposición a la esencia vidriada del cuerpo de Tomás Rodaja. A su vez, esta oposición de materias propone un juego léxico que desenmascara al personaje de Ovidio en el propio licenciado Vidriera.","PeriodicalId":39612,"journal":{"name":"Revista Canadiense de Estudios Hispanicos","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-04-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"48213479","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Así, Lazarillo emplea el humor y la ironía para desarrollar, no una celebración de la incipiente burguesía castellana, sino una sátira de la clase financiera por su avaricia e hipocresía.","PeriodicalId":39612,"journal":{"name":"Revista Canadiense de Estudios Hispanicos","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-04-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"49666277","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
