The technology has great potential to drive simplicity and efficiency in financial services, and it is poised to drive the next wave of financial service innovation. Interest in exploiting blockchain in other industries, such as manufacturing and healthcare, is increasing, and deployments are gaining momentum. Yet, the adoption rate is slow, and organisations are only beginning to scratch the surface in regards to the potential applications of this technology. Implemented properly, the business benefits can be substantial. This article explores the changing dimensions of blockchain, highlights the importance of this technology, reviews its timeline from inception to maturity, identifies determinants of implementation success, and covers some of the potential benefits of this technology. Finally, this study highlights the successful implementation of blockchain solutions in the manufacturing and service industries.","PeriodicalId":39414,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Applied Decision Sciences","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"45551980","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Chinese Government has proposed the concept of YRD urban agglomeration to improve its competitiveness. To this end, we evaluate industrial CO2 emission efficiency (ICEE) of 26 cities in YRD and its space-time distribution during 2006-2015 by applying SBM-undesirable model and the method of GIS visualisation respectively. Moreover, we used Tobit model to study factors influencing ICEE. The results are as follows: 1) ICEE of YRD increases in fluctuation during our study period; 2) there is a spatial cluster in the distribution of ICEE; 3) the proportion of industrial research and development funds to regional GDP (R&D), population size (PS) and the degree of opening up to the outside world (OPEN) positively influence the ICEE, while industrial energy structure (IES) and the actual use of foreign direct investment (FDI) negatively do.","PeriodicalId":39414,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Applied Decision Sciences","volume":"12 1","pages":"1-19"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-12-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"46137606","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We selected the feature subset of network route data by the principal component analysis and accordingly processed the network route detection sample set, getting the input characteristics of network route detection. The research selected the new low dimensional feature of network route data through linear or nonlinear transformation, and used the naive Bayesian network structure to classify the new network route data set. Simulation results show that the proposed method can improve the detection rate of network intrusion optimal route and reduce the false alarm rate, getting a more perfect result of network intrusion detection.","PeriodicalId":39414,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Applied Decision Sciences","volume":"41 2 1","pages":"1-17"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"83136714","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
