Physical training sciences academidic discipline and Sport sciences one have bilocated in pedagogy scientific sector and biomedicine one such as established of Italian National University Counseil (CUN). Which means, physical training sciences academidic discipline and Sport sciences one be divided in two diferrent recruitment sectors. It propose itself the present sudy, made by two different ones. ERC grants economic contributions for scientific projects through participation in competitive tenders divided into defined recruitment sectors in Italian university body.Actually, in Italy the academic disciplines of Physical training sciences and Sport are bilocated in two scientific area: Pedagogy and Medicine.This is a problem because it is a misenderstunding betweenrecruitment sectors and academic disciplines, so become cause of error to select the right recruitment sector of Exercise and sports sciences field researchers in the selection of the recruitment sectors when they partecipe at ERCEA tenders. To allow this transformation, two new academic disciples were set up with the M-EDF code and the scientific contents were systematized within the classification of academic knowledge. With the law 240 of 2010 the recruitment sectors were established with the main purpose of enabling and recruiting university professors, establishing the minimum levels of scientificity with procedures defined strictly by law. The academic disciplines were systematized in the recruitment sectors and two academic of exercise and sport sciences disciplines were distributed in 9 recruitment sectors allocated in three scientific areas CUN 5 biological sciences, 6 medical sciences and 11 historical, philosophical, psychological and pedagogical sciences. It is a sport that has been scarcely researched in the area of nutrition, and even less so regarding the dietary habits of its players. The objective of this work is to perform a descriptive and comparative analysis of dietary habits in squash players at the national and international levels. Methodology: A total of 14 international and 28 national players answered a validated food consumption frequency questionnaire. We used a Student ́s t-test for independent samples and a χ2 test in the comparative analysis of players of different levels. Results: The results show that there were statistically significant differences between the two groups of players in the consumption of bread (p = 0.016) and nuts (p = 0.008), with a tendency towards statistical significance for eggs (p = 0.064), blue fish (p = 0.057), and white meat (p = 0.069), which the international players consumed with a higher frequency. There were no significant differences in the consumption of fruits, vegetables, or pulses. The two groups had a similar consumption of potatoes, pasta, rice, juices and soft drinks, sweets and snacks, white fish, and red meat. Conclusions: Although it was not possible to estimate the intake and percentage of macronutrients, a possible deficit of carbohydrates and an excess of proteins can be deduced in both groups. In addition, these players do not usually seek advice from dieticians-nutritionists, so the involvement of these professionals in the coaching staff of squash players could improve athletic performance.","PeriodicalId":38917,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Physical Education and Sport","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44212215","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The aim of the study wasto evaluate the relationship between strength endurance, anthropometric features, body composition and physiological parameters in individuals with low or moderate levels of physical activity performing extreme exercise. The study involved 45 female and 51 male participants (20.05±1.81 and 20.20±2.71 y, respectively). The participants’ physical activity levels were evaluated before the study with the International Physical Activity Questionnaire. Physiological parameters were measured using a heart rate monitor. The correlations between the evaluated parameters were determined using Spearman’s rank correlation test. The analyzed physiological parameters were most significantly correlated with physical exertion values within the maximum effort range. In both female and male participants, the number of cycles was significantly and negatively correlated with body mass (r=-0.78 and r=-0.67), degree of obesity (r=-0.87 and r = -0.74), BMI (r=-0.85 and r = -0.76), BFM (r=0.81 and r=-0.58) and VFL (r=-0.81 and r=-0.59). Physiological parameters (PTE, energy expenditure, VO2avg, max, EPOC avg, peak, and RR avg, max) were significantly and positively correlated with maximum physical effort. Somatic features and body composition parameters are significantly correlated with strength endurance in females and males aged 18-29 years.","PeriodicalId":38917,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Physical Education and Sport","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"45013907","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The research for this discipline is essential because scientific insights into physiology, biomechanics and psychology optimizes performanceand allows athletes to preserve health. The aim of this pilot study is to evaluate the biomechanical pre-jump parameters in equal feet takeoff jumps in aerobic gymnastics. There are two predominant pre-jump techniques: pre-jump with equal feet take off preceded by a flight phase and the pre-jump with equal feet take off without a flight phase. This pilot study aims to better understand the two pre-jump techniques to make a contribution to this research field. The kinematic analysis of the two pre-jump techniques showed a considerable difference, in thejump height and flight time between the preparation for the equal feet take off jump with the flight phase before the crouching and that without the flight phase. This observations prompts us to more closely evaluate the two techniques, because the ability to increase height and flight duration of the jump is decisive for the success of the jumps with greater in flight rotation.","PeriodicalId":38917,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Physical Education and Sport","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"41975338","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Physical education as a compulsory subject allows all students to engage physical activity. However, the activity levels may vary during the physical education lesson depending on the motivation of students. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the amount of time spent in light physical activity, moderate to vigorous physical activity and sedentary activity by a sample of Finnish fifth grade students during physical education lessons. Approach: A cohort of 407 Finnish students’ (177 boys, 232 girls) participated to study. To determine activity, participants wore GTX3 Actigraphs for seven consecutive days. Participants’ activity scores were grouped in quartiles based on their weekly average moderate to vigorous physical activity. Different activity group and gender comparisons were undertaken using MANOVA. Results: Contrasts regarding activity quartiles revealed that in the least active group quartile (Q1) boys had more sedentary time and less MVPA time than in the more active group quartiles (Q3&Q4). Among girls, Q1 girls had less moderate to vigorous physical activity than girls grouped in Q3-Q4, and had more sedentary time than all other quartile groups. Conclusions: Results demonstrated that during PE lessons differences in activity between children with different moderate to vigorous physical activity levels exist. Physical education teachers should consider developing lesson strategies to address the differences identified in ST and MVPA. Programs that foster consistency in student engagement at the moderate to vigorous physical activity level may also support a decrease in levels of sedentary time across the physical education lesson.","PeriodicalId":38917,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Physical Education and Sport","volume":"71 3","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"41316823","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To determine the relationship between sports and career, this study focuses on the career forming “basic general ability,” characteristic of career education in Japan. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to clarify the difference between practitioners and non-practitioners of school-based extracurricular sports activities in terms of basic general ability. Approach: Participants were 295 students and 26 teachers of two public junior high schools and two public high schools. The basic general ability of each student was assessed by plural teachers who knew the students well. Then, the average of each teacher’s assessment was calculated. Results: The results of covariance analysis (covariates were sex, school type and school grade) showed that practitioners’ basic general ability [p < .001] and all four subscale abilities (human network building and community forming [p < .001], self-understanding and self-control [p = .001], task handling [p = .033], and career planning [p = .002]) were significantly higher than those of non-practitioners. Conclusions: Basic general ability would be a factor associated with the future career of practitioners of school-based extracurricular sports activities.","PeriodicalId":38917,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Physical Education and Sport","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47022407","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
