Bagasse is a by-product of the sugar industry which can be used as a biomass fuel for micro-gasification in Indonesia because of its abundance. Gasification is a process of converting biomass fuel into syngas fuel that occurs in the gasifier. This research was conducted to determine the effect of secondary orifice variations on the TLUD Concentric Cylinder Type gasification stove on flame length, flame temperature, fuel efflux rate and thermal efficiency with secondary orifice variations; 30, 40, and 50. The test was carried out using the water boiling test method. The results showed that the stove with 50 secondary holes produced the highest flame temperature at T2 (the temperature at the top of the TLUD stove gasifier) of 653.3 °C, the best flame duration was 14.15 minute, the highest burning rate was 0.88 gr/s. The highest thermal efficiency value was achieved by a stove with a secondary 50 exhaust hole of 67%. Based on the tests, it shows that the variation of the furnace hole affects the flame temperature, flame duration, combustion rate and thermal efficiency.\u0000","PeriodicalId":388226,"journal":{"name":"Technium: Romanian Journal of Applied Sciences and Technology","volume":" 6","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141674557","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We provide the relationships that are essential for computing the coefficients of the adopted rational function having at hand the audio effect characteristics, i.e. the fade length, initial volume, final volume and the parameter used for shaping. The versatility of the proposed technique is revealed by the numerous curves illustrating fade in, fade up, fade out and fade down transitions. The shape parameter is of key significance here having in view that it decides the pattern to follow. More precisely, one can set the value of the shape parameter in order to get either a fade effect that acts similar to the exponential shape fade or a fade effect that follows the pattern of the logarithmic shape fade. It introduces a Naïve Bayes classification model that uses image processing to extract features for grading. The goal is to create a consistent grading system to enhance export efficiency and benefit local farmers. The research aims to validate the Naïve Bayes model’s accuracy using size, weight, area, and spot ratio. It employs a quantitative, experimental design, manipulating image processing techniques to gauge their impact on classification accuracy. The results show the Naïve Bayes model achieved 95% accuracy, effectively distinguishing large and reject mangoes. It performed well for medium and small mangoes, with a 7% error rate between these classes. This indicates the model’s potential for quality control and sorting, though further refinement is needed to better differentiate between medium and small sizes. In conclusion, the study presents an image processing and Naïve Bayes-based method to classify carabao mangoes by size. The model’s high accuracy suggests its effectiveness and potential for automating mango classification, which could significantly aid the Philippine mango industry. Further performance assessment was conducted using a confusion matrix. The research highlights the promise of this approach for efficient mango grading.","PeriodicalId":388226,"journal":{"name":"Technium: Romanian Journal of Applied Sciences and Technology","volume":" 779","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-04-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140682297","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Its quality should be assessed regularly, and the condition of water resources should be maintained accordingly. The most common analytical method for describing and assessing general water quality is the Water Quality Index (WQI). Various physicochemical parameters like pH, total dissolved solids, total hardness, calcium, magnesium, chloride, and total alkalinity are considered for the present study. The Weighted Arithmetic Water Quality Index Technique is used to evaluate these data. For checking the portability of the parameters within the acceptable limit, WHO is adopted. According to the study mentioned above, the quality has been found to be very low compared to the WQI value. It is also observed that the water was found unsuitable for drinking purposes, and it is considered harmful to human health; therefore, it requires some kind of processing before use. This study will be beneficial to policymakers for identifying and providing details about water quality in the form of a specific value.","PeriodicalId":388226,"journal":{"name":"Technium: Romanian Journal of Applied Sciences and Technology","volume":"9 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-04-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140720417","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The lack of financial resources hinders their competitiveness in a globalized scenario. Therefore, the objective of this research is to describe the financial environment of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in the municipality of Guasave, Sinaloa, Mexico. The methodology involves a literature review and is contextualized based on the business environment of the region. The results reveal a lack of information and training for MSMEs to access financing. Additionally, credit institutions perceive risks in granting loans to companies with low production levels. Faced with this scenario of limited financial alternatives, the vulnerability of this productive sector in an increasingly globalized and demanding world is evident. Consequently, there is a need to reconsider financial policies, making access to various forms of leverage an achievable alternative for this universe of companies.","PeriodicalId":388226,"journal":{"name":"Technium: Romanian Journal of Applied Sciences and Technology","volume":"3 6","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-04-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140721975","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
