In this development, the uncertainty of target representations is assumed to be represented by a Gaussian distribution. The new approach uses fuzzy logic to simplify the mapping of the uncertainty to a usable construct to adjust the image generation based on the uncertainty of the measurements. The result of the fuzzy logic process is used to restructure image representation of the attribute of the target. Large uncertainty measures have the effect of reducing the relative size of the attribute which, in turn, reduces the impact of the attribute of the track-measurement pair.","PeriodicalId":387483,"journal":{"name":"2011 21st International Conference on Systems Engineering","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-08-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126611882","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Its use is twofold: It can be used as an effective teaching tool as well as a research support tool to analyze electromechanical phenomena in electrical power systems. Specifically, QSSSEPS is a GUI, which facilitates the simulation of an electrical power system with induction motors in transitory regimen connected to it. To this end, QSSSEPS provides algorithms for both power flows and extended harmonic domain. The latter is an instrument based on Fourier series, phasor dynamics and operational matrices.","PeriodicalId":387483,"journal":{"name":"2011 21st International Conference on Systems Engineering","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-08-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121786760","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This question becomes critical in a system of systems because many unannounced changes occur throughout the system content and context during its operational life. This challenge arises in multiple usage domains such as defense, national security, industrial, financial, commercial or personal. A system of systems readiness assessment capability must be devised by the systems engineering activity and rigorously vetted during system development, deployment and evolution. The authors describe a set of candidate capabilities and technologies which may enable a comprehensive, fast and trusted assessment capability. Furthermore such assessment capability may be extended to aid in highlighting system resiliency shortfalls, diagnosing failures, and vetting proposed changes to any constituent system.","PeriodicalId":387483,"journal":{"name":"2011 21st International Conference on Systems Engineering","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-04-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129247738","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
