Pohl that certain annotations in manuscripts of mid s. xii can safely be attributed to the hand of Robert of Torigni (RT), other passages (chiefly in Avranches, Bibliotheque patrimoniale, ms 210, fol. 112v-115r, and in ms 211, fol. 76r) cannot safely be attributed to anyone other than RT, or to a scribe working under his close direction. Moreover, certain markings in rubrics and datings of Leiden ms BPL 20 may be in RT’s hand. In addition, I conjecture that the notations .N. and .a. in several manuscripts dating mostly before 1154 were written by RT.","PeriodicalId":38643,"journal":{"name":"Tabularia","volume":"48 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"80110442","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Ces technologies ont ainsi favorise la naissance de nombreuses bases de donnees en ligne. Le ReTeHNor (Repertorium Textuum Hagiographicorum in Normannia conscriptorum), rassemblant les textes hagiographiques en latin ecrits sur le territoire du duche de Normandie pendant la periode ducale (911-1204), est donc l’un de ces repertoires numeriques. Base sur le modele de la BHL, il rassemble des fiches decrivant au niveau historico-litteraire ces textes hagiographiques et permettant d’avoir, grâce a differents modes d’interrogation, une vision critique et statistique de l’hagiographie de Normandie : combien de foyers hagiographiques ? Combien d’hagiographes ? Quels modeles de saintete ? Quelles typologies d’ecrits hagiographiques ? Angelini","doi":"10.4000/TABULARIA.3009","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.4000/TABULARIA.3009","url":null,"abstract":"This study deals with Norman poetry: it examines the authors, the texts, and especially the literary genres to which they belonged, in the period between the XIth and XIIth centuries. Following a chronological order, the analysis starts from XIth-century Normandy: the main political and religious centres, Rouen, Caen and Le Bec, were also the most important places of poetic output. Most of these writings are hagiographies or encomia of important figures in the ducal and royal courts. In this regard, Serlo of Bayeux stands out as a clear example: his poems are valuable historical evidence for the Norman relationship with the English and their king in 1105-1106. In England, after the bold enterprise of William the Conqueror, Norman, Flemish, French and Italian learned men had a very important role in cultural life. York and Canterbury were the most prominent centres for versification. The study ends by focusing on the numerous verses contained in the historical works of Orderic Vitalis, William of Malmesbury and Henry of Huntingdon.","PeriodicalId":38643,"journal":{"name":"Tabularia","volume":"88 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-09-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"85636119","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
